Pi certainly takes a lot of visual and stylistic cues from Eraserhead. Both fils use the texture of the image to a disturbing effect. Theme wise, though, they aren’t similar at all.

It hasn’t aged terribly, either. It’ll never be as classic as the Bruce Timm DCAU, but of all the Marvel animated properties, it’s one of the better ones. Personally, this news represents the best possible outcome of DC/Warner’s current Snyder-induced fiasco. Batman and Superman are the OG costumed crime fighters.
