That's the issue. It's so much easier to use a dedicated device in that scenario. It's possible to do what you said. Google Maps offers the option to download maps, but the route needs to be planned AFAIK. And if there's a detour miles out of the way, which occurs once or twice a summer in Bumbleton Center, NY with no

There are still a few areas of rural NY where cell coverage is spotty at best. Those areas are coincidentally some of the best camping areas. Having some kind of standalone GPS when it's dark and rainy with no cell coverage has saved my bacon more than once. Even the woefully outdated maps in our tow pig are useful

Likely the other reason was it would have killed a 4T65-HD in short order. L67's were, and those were officially 60 hp less.

The Sonic RS was slower to 60 than a heavier Cruze Eco with the same powertrain. The difference was in gearing.

So now Honda is officially blessing their dealers selling old, high mileage cars. Instead of auctioning them off to others to sell. This seems like a sop to their dealers seeing their old trade-ins being sold by Bob's Quality Used Cars.

I totally agree with GM products running poorly long after other cars would be dead. My family growing up had a series of GM wagons and minivans that just kept on going. Rust ended up ultimately killing them.

In a rare moment of agreement with folks I normally disagree with, cutting the gas tax is not a good move. The oil companies will increase prices to pad their bottom lines while blaming a sudden burst of “inflation”.

My local Costco is about 10 minutes at the busiest times. I try not to go then.

A 2022 Elantra is not poverty spec by any stretch of the imagination. Power everything, air, cruise, a decent infotainment system, big enough to hold Americans in reasonable comfort, and it even gets good fuel economy.

This outcome appears to be fair. He isn't a felon, AAA gets their money back, the state gets reimbursed for their cost investigating, his business takes a bit of a hit, and life goes on. I'll still keep watching because he's from all accounts a decent person who surrounds himself with decent people.

Great to hear!

NP. My significant other had a teal wagon when we were dating. Good handling car, but wheezy with that 90 hp 1.9. A slightly more powerful one with a proper transmission would be great. I'd spend $3500 on it because the looks would be entirely worth it.

Kinja'd. That should have been an AWD Buzz, not ID4.

I’m looking forward to test driving an AWD ID4. Mostly for the control layout, seats and to see how badly the infotainment sucks. If it’s early Toyota Entune levels of suck I’m plonking down a deposit on an AWD version of the Buzz. Because snow, its faster and muddy campsites towing a camper.

Yeah, Americans don’t make the best vehicle choices.

My 2012 Cruze has the early version. The power falling off is cured with a tune. Then it’ll pull right up until the turbo runs out of air at 5500 RPM. Obviously that’s not happening much these days with gas the price it is.

You did hear about the missile that hit 10km from NATO member Poland, right? This is a public announcement of support for a fellow NATO member and the democratic government of Ukraine. Vlad would gladly target Polish bases near Ukraine if he thought he could without awaking the rest of NATO.

Good to see GM learning how to properly update a vehicle that isn’t an Enclave or Silverado. A darn shame they didn’t learn that with their sedans.

My friend’s dad had one back in the early 2000's. I rode in it for a ski trip once. A fine little car that hauled our skis and crap. The back seat was a little tight, but nothing a smaller me couldn't live with for 90 minutes to the hill.

They’re either scrap or their owners are holding onto them like grim death. It didn’t help that Ford made a bone-headed decision to use a dry clutch DCT in their two smallest cars. A lot of those cars were taken off the road much earlier than normal because of the explodey DCT. Chrysler was too late with the Dart, and
