Same. I still feel like I can’t rely on anyone for much of anything. If I do take that risk, it feels like it’s transactional and the cost will show up at some point in the future. So I do the math on if it’s worth it to bother asking in the first place.

Right now, they are all currently the Windows CE era of “smart” phones of cars. I can *see* the future, it’s on it’s way here, but there’s no good standards. Form factors are going to be weird, or too big for a long time and no one is going to make anything that’s actually fun and cheap (honestly, we need a car

Correct. Imagine having to Jailbreak your car to use non OEM parts or something. Then explaining to folks how to maintain that hack without possibly bricking their car in post.

EVs will definitely be easier and will require less maintenance than an ICE car. Unfortunately, repairs will be challenging as we are already in a state where hardware is integrated and generally not repairable. Look at your phone, laptop, etc. If something goes wrong, it just doesn’t work.
Right to repair needs to be

This is just one of the cases where a company, much like Nintendo, waits until a certain technology matures before selling it. It makes sense, people will always ask for Nintendo to make hardware that matches Sony/Xbox, but they don’t *need* to because the market reacts positively to accessibility and cost.

I’m wondering that if insurance companies will insure your car if you decide to jailbreak your car? Will EVs with their own custom systems to give you full control be insurable? It’s going to be interesting folks!

This is exactly how I felt when I saw alllll the BRCC logos everywhere.

I totally understand. I hear a lot from people about their lives for good and bad. The one friend I have hasn’t changed since I’ve known her and she complains about her extremely bad relationship all the time to me. I want to tell her to leave me alone until she leaves and finds herself, but you know, I don’t want to

Just do a 370e. Yes. Take the leaf, make it look like a 370(something) and convince me to buy that car. I’d totally be Ok with a less than 100 mile range, but darn cool and fun car right now.

The biggest question isn’t if it can become an esport. It’s more of how will sponsorships work?

This is a little off topic, but has anyone even tried making the Nissan Leaf look better? Even with out of control aftermarket mods I’m sure it’s going to be an improvement.

I’ve flown Spirit once. It wasn’t that bad actually. The seats were a little small (I’m a big guy), but as long as I planned ahead I wasn’t really that mad about it. Especially considering that I picked up my tickets less than a week ahead of the event I was supposed to be at!

This is the absolute truth.

It’s not an impossible idea. Individuals have done conversions on other older sports cars that get decent performance speed and distance wise. If Scion wants to stand out as a brand, it has to do something different. Like make an affordable electric sports-ish car.

Yeah, or just put them all on the bottom like Tesla does.

I really like the idea of these cars! This is a great list. As long as they keep the prices down they should be able to win people over.

I purchased an Alienware Alpha and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s portable and it plays most of my games without any problems. Well worth the price.

I miss Sal. He was one of the best characters early on.
