Pretty sure they wouldn’t. There have been different tests in more realistic surroundings that come to the same conclusion: When there is authority, or something / someone impersonating authority, giving an order, humans are very likely to comply and throw their own knowledge out of the window.

At some point counter technology will be as widespread as antivirus software. It will be a fight against windmills though, since then videos than just will be tampered with to give false positives. Then they’ll improve the software to recognize that, and... it’s a lot like the software security cycle, really.

I just loved Outer Wilds. That’s the style of game where I want to see more off, exploring where the adventure really is to explore and find out what the hell is actually going on without being punished at all for being curious and try out stuff, but still exciting and with a great story.
