Everything I watched of Gundam before WfM made me depressed. WfM noticably plays in the same depressed universe, but it has (mostly) a much more whimsicle tone... until the last episode and especially the after credit scene of the first season >.<
But for me it is the best Gundam show I’ve watched so far.
