I agree. I’m playing a nice Aloy, and it’s great seeing her make new friends out in the wilderness and helping people get happy endings to their stories.
They’re definitely not perfect but I find them much more manageable than Roach in The Witcher 3. I hate that horse.
Yeah. I feel like they just took a long hard look at open world games and tweaked tiny details that are common annoyances. Some are really hard to put your finger on, but it “feels” much better than any open world game I’ve played before it.
Horizon gets way more of this stuff right than any other huge open world game I’ve played.
How are people feeling so far about the game? I haven’t heard much chatter beyond the initial release. I’m hearing it’s about 80 hours which for some reason feels short of a FF game. I’m considering picking it up when once I work through my current collection a little bit.

Every so often, the whole place reboots and goes dark. With each reboot, your past playthroughs “echo” as AIs that try to take you down using whatever tactics you used…
It’s still hot, and it’s still summer! It’s also the weekend. What are you gonna be playing? Video games? Board…
Eh. Ultimately, it’s a convenience/service, rather than a commodity—and convenience economy tends to inflate a little faster than commodities, largely because we don’t need whatever service is being packaged and sold as a convenience.
I’m not particularly chuffed about paying an extra ten bucks a year, particularly…
The game shines when you completely dismiss the thought of goals and objectives, and truly embrace the idea of being an explorer. I left my first planet quickly, because I wanted to see at least two of them before my Steam refund window ran out. And I haven’t left that second planet since then. I’ve even exploring…
