53% of white female voters voted for Trump. But only about 25% of white women voted for him overall when you take into account non voters. Trump’s presidency may very well be the wake up call that nonvoters need. Right now is not the time to attack people who have been politically disengaged. We need to be more like

I don’t think she’s saying she was “triggered” by that sign. I think she’s saying that telling protesters coming to a demonstration for the first time don’t need to be told that because they were too nice/white/Christian/congenial there presence wasn’t appreciated.

Uh... you know that diverse groups have diverse opinions and people get to voice them. Progressive people tend to get this. It’s not “infighting” or “eating your own” or whatever else detractors want to call it. Our diverse movement can support and respect multiple opinions at the same time - even ones individuals

I like this perspective. Now that trump has been elected, white people are ON ME to engage with racists and teach them a better, more loving way. As if I haven’t been trying this my whole life. White people, the responsibility to pick up your own house is YOURS.

Every time there is an opportunity to lay bare his incompetence and fundamental indecency, and to point out the behavior rendering him unsuitable for public office, I will do it.

He’s a black man Trump watches on TV. In the words of David S Pumpkins, any questions?

Our local AC/DC cover band, Hell’s Belles, has some definite fame, but they wouldn’t play this gig for all the cocaine in Wall Street.

But you can’t get people together to win elections if you don’t address their serious concerns around jobs, healthcare outcomes, police violence ect, ect, ect. I think white progressives need be part of the coming together by accepting these concerns, not pushing them aside.

Uh, white people will come out of this administration far less scathed than folks of color. We’ve got to call them out on that. White nationalism got Trump elected. If white women are afraid of black women asking them to consider their needs, then yes, we’ve got to address it. It’s mockable. Addressing it is the only

La La Land is decent. It’s moderately ambitious in a conceptual way but pretty dull in terms of the actual story it tells. It explores some of the same issues that Whiplash addressed (what artists must give up for their art, the impact of commitment to art on relationships and vice versa) but the tone and focus of

Jesus shit, every single promo for that movie made it looked like straight up depraved white-people shit.

John Oliver is British, so he probably finds this reception to be a comforting reminder of his rightful place in the universe.

Mother Earth must be laughing so hard at us and our need to rank all the sparkles. “How will my wife know I value her if I don’t give her this one kind of compressed dirt??”

This nipple seems really oddly placed.

No, I get it. Diamond companies artificially suppress supply just like how you should withhold affection in your relationship so that they know you really mean it when you do show affection.

My regional pantsuit nation has morphed into something actually active as well, and I fucking dig it. We’ve actually done a lot so far: our local chapter of NOW got re-started, we held a handful of protests in the immediate reaction to the election, We do a monthly charitable drive, we’ve organized thousands of phone

Yes. Justice is what love looks like in public.

Apart of me is tired of having to listen to people who voted for Trump talk about how they feel alienated and how their feelings are important, too. I know my feelings and other groups are not important or don’t matter to them. They either don’t see me and other groups as people or don’t consider us important.
