That Guy

I’m well into full on GrumpyOldMan mode, looking at the racing that’s being televised this weekend and realizing that almost anything worth watching requires some goddamn subscription to some freaking streaming service, while all the other crap is on the channels I’M ALREADY PAYING FOR ON DIRECT TV.

It’s not the business’s fault, it’s the idiot customers.

I’m just waiting for (former) Russian military vehicles to start showing up on eBay. And Craigslist. And FB marketplace, and....

No Auto stop/start? Fine with me.

Sierra C3 owner here. Bought it slightly used, for under $20K - extended cab, leather, power everything, 6.0L, full time AWD...great truck. Put almost 200,000 miles on it so far, still going strong. Ok, there was the time I blew up the 4l60 trans, but the 8 psi from the supercharger I installed probably had something

Well, it’s about time. Number one rule when you’re stuck in a deep hole - STOP digging it deeper!

Let me guess....4 door only, amIright?

That dude is about one good fart away from orbit.

Streets are for cars, sidewalks are for people.

Can’t get a Maverick? No problem, gotcha covered.

Mattel is taking reservations for Hot Wheels now. A reservation will (supposedly) get you a place “in line” so you can place an order when the order banks open up.

At least they weren’t Broncos.

Well, no shit, they’ve been doing it for months.

Wait....you mean somebody out there watches Formula E on PURPOSE?

4th Gear: It would be a REALLY good idea for companies (particularly car companies) to start re-designing products to require FEWER chips. Not every vehicle needs automatic climate control, keyless entry, remote start, ridiculously complex infotainment systems, yadda yadda yadda. Cars ran just fine without all that

They’re both wrong, but neither one will ever admit it. It would be nice to think the driver of the Accord learned a lesson from the result of his actions, but he won’t - he’ll go on blaming the other guy forever and ever.

I’d like to think companies will use the pandemic as a lesson, and learn from it, and bring manufacturing back to the US, shorten and simplify supply chains, realize it’s possible to be TOO “lean”......but long term - they won’t.

Stable.

Wonder if I can replace the “digital” dash (the graphics look like something from a home game console from about 25 years ago) on my 2021 Bronco with an “analog” one, with REAL gauges from a Maverick or a Ranger.

Great, another part Ford can add to the “constraint” list so they can justify why customers who order a Bronco won’t get one for......YEARS.
