DO consider a PC game streaming solution. The NVidia Shield can stream PC gameplay over a wireless signal to it's tiny screen or a television set via HDMI. Soon, Mad Catz' M.O.J.O. Android console will do the same. Beats having to hook up a dedicated living room PC.

My rig is nuclear!

I wouldn't call that materialism. Materialism is more the idea that more things = more happiness. The things you mentioned are necessities. That practice is more along the lines of bribing.

What makes me optimistic is that everything moves in cycles. History has time after time shown, that after every bust there is a boom. So while the last ten years had an economy that was down in the dumps, a bunch of wars in the Arab world, etc. I believe the cycle has hit its low point and his heading for a new high

How come the Bomb Bird gets three stars on a level where he has used up all his birds?

Can't really say that North Korea uses materialism to control the populace though. They don't have any stuff for that. The rest are much more apt comparisons.

Run is my favorite. The animation was superb (my god, the running) and its use of models and maps from different Valve games to create its own universe was pretty awesome. I would've thought it'd be a zombie short, but instead it turned out to be about the effects of war on a soldier.

Ah, but future medicine can cure anything. Just pop in a hypospray and you'll be able to slave away at your console for days again :D

Indeed. Khan could've been any other augment and the story would've been the same. While Khan is not as well known as the Joker, he is one of few villains (the Borg probably too) of Star Trek that has any recognition outside Star Trek fandom. And they did nothing with that.

Explain more please. What reminds you of America in NK. The patriotism?

They have to have bought it to review it, though. That should weed out some of the bad eggs.

Thanks.

Lucas has handled his EU better than most. From what I know his licensing company does a much better job coordinating its EU than for example Star Trek. There's a program which keeps track of the additions made to the Star Wars universe, which allows Lucas Licensing to see whether there's a conflict. Star Trek novel

The Expanded Universe is really big though, having written about almost every possible minute before and after the minute. They will have to erase some of that stuff, or else all they'll be doing is writing around the EU. It's Star Wars, so it's going to be something of epic proportion. The EU leaves little room for

How do these artists get to make posters of copyrighted franchises and sell them? Do they simply buy a license? Does it require a lot of approvals from the copyright holders (to prevent the brand from getting tarnished by crappy/insulting stuff)?

It came across as a compliment :D

'On The Mating Habits of Venusian Gargopods'... No. 'The Inner Mechanics of Lifespheres'.... No. 'A Month in the Jungles of the Thetis Regio'... No. 'Climbing Maxwell Montes'... No. Sarah sighed. She had been past the shelves half a dozen times and the young explorer had still not found the book that she had been told

PS2 was not a gaming-only console. For a lot of people it was a cheap DVD player first and a game console second.
