I could also go back in time and found Gawker. At least then I could have the interns work around a GMT+1 schedule.

Oh why oh why didn't I study a mix of journalism/English and take a course on 'Living Life When Others Are Asleep' so that I could do this from the Netherlands.

I knew that Lucas was inspired by these old films, but that some of the iconics shots we know and love are almost shot-for-shot remakes of ones in older movies is quite interesting.

I agree. I've had a zombie apocalypse plan since 2001. Crazy scientists don't use Mayan calendars, they use Unix time.

I like how this shows that while PC pirating is bigger, console pirating isn't that far behind. I mean the numbers on Super Mario Galaxy 2 are only half of the average PC title.

I meant that the game never had that emotional heaviness that the trailer implied. Had the game revolved around another family (one that wasn't eaten) then I would've considered the trailer representing the game. In the final product, the characters are all pretty 2D, so the link between the trailer and the game isn't

My guess is they're working on a new engine, as the current one is really gasping for air (I will admit they can still pull off atmosphere such as in Portal 2). To have all the cool stuff of a modern engine, such as vast landscapes, the current BSP maps is obsolete.

How's this in-game?

Battle: Los Angeles (or the horrendous World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles as it was called overseas) was one of my favourite movies of the past year. It was the ideal mix between blockbuster/popcorn gobbler and thought out movie. If I had the rewatch this years movies, it'd definately be in the top 10.

Ah, the loop hole. If you're the 'sports games guy' then I guess you really don't need a Windows PC :D

No offense to Mac users or Owen Good, but how can you work for a gamessite that's also for PC games (i.e. Windows) and not have one? Macs might be handy for all sorts of things, but not for game reviewing. Or does he not work for Kotaku?

Why of why did the building not crumble before their eyes? Reality needs to run on Frostbite 2.0 as well.

Thanks

Perfectly cast. This artist has some real talent.

That was pretty fun. My only gripe is the plasticness of MC's suit and the Hunter which has for some reason duck tape on it's arm.

Pretty high price to pay for only half-an-hour of buddying up, even if it might be a completely different playing experience. For 4,99 I can get a decent indiegame, especially during sales weeks around Thanksgiving and Christmas. That'd get me more gametime for the same price.

Am I the only one who thinks she looks a bit mannish in a few of these shots?

It's a great game. The creative mode got boring pretty quickly but the survival mode never gets old. I'm not a prolific horror gamer but of all the survival horror games that I've played, this one is the best. It can make you feel so helpless. When you're cornered by Creepers in a dark cave, it's very scary (to me at

It's funny, you see the GTA V trailer for the first time and you think: this doesn't look that much better than GTA IV. Than you see something like this and you realize how bleak and low-res GTA IV was. Can't wait for V.

I guess it has to do with the creative aspect of the game. Minecraftians can easily have dozens of booths dedicated to something unique they made, be it digital creations (mods, worlds, etc.) or something more tangible like posters, action figures, etc.
