What, no Cosmo Canyon? I love that song...

to be honest.. i say Screw the Fanbase. And for game to be released when the developer themselves feel like it ready... if it turns from 2 months to 2 years delay... I DONT MIND. and if someone having a fit about it.... -.- they need to take up fishing and learn the lesson of patience.

At this point I don’t see how it could possibly live up to the hype. Since it’s announcement it has been one of the most hyped and anticipated new IPs I can remember, maybe next to Destiny and we know how that fiasco turned out.

Im not sure how you can be a fan if the product isn’t even out yet! I could see if its like a sequel but to be fan of something you never played? I mean what do you do then if the game turns out to be a giant over hyped turd?

The fact that this game was the cover feature of Game Informer like 2 years ago did the fan base no favors. People have been excited for this game to arrive for much longer than anyone should have to be. Still inexcusable but a little easier understood that way.

Imagine this guy goes out and kills someone for this game and then when he finally plays it it sucks and he hates it. Talk about making life choices from nothing. (This is in no way saying the game will suck, I’m expecting it to waste many many hours of mine)

I hadn’t realized this, but apparently No Man’s Sky fans are... uh... a passionate bunch. For the past two days their subreddit has been going absolutely insane, speculating constantly and spewing all sorts of bile toward me/Kotaku for various reasons as they continued digging up reasons to say I was wrong about the

My only complaint is that face. Seriously. It looks like it came straight from one of those generic “Learn to draw Anime!” books.

I get where you’re going and I don’t necessarily disagree with all of it. But I do think this newfound fad of saying things are bad because they take themselves “too seriously” is just... Harmful, at best. Not only because it permeates this cultural acceptance that “Serious things are bad”, but also because it implies

Oh, sweetie.

Diversity is a good thing. Looking at every character and seeing if they should be female seems complete crazy to me. It’s rare that the gender matters at all in games (I mean storywise, not representation),so how do you have that conversation?

He’s comparing it to Kristallnacht, which was the legal round up and removal of people from Germany. Again, it’s like you people think the Holocaust was a one-day event when millions of Jews were killed overnight. The Holocaust was ongoing, over nearly a decade. And it started (and indeed, ended) as “legal” policy.

I put “next year” into Google translate and it spit “q4, 2018" back at me. Weird

Yeah, I’m not really thrilled with the reinforcement of the idea of women’s bodies as an “embodiment of nature” more than men’s bodies. The woman-as-nurturing-earth-mother-figure is not necessarily feminist. When it’s used to suggest that women are fundamentally different from men—more nurturing, more connected to

I’m pretty sure Jen Kirkman explicitly denied that it was about CK, which seems like a big omission considering how pissed she was at you all for tying her to CK in the first place.
