Fallout: New Vegas. FO3 had some really good mods, but there quantity and quality of the NV mods is insane. One of the best mods for it is Project Nevada, which completely overhauls the engine and gives you an incredible amount of customization. There’s bullet time that lets you use action points to slow down time as

Honestly, Rocket League likely wouldn’t be what it is if the game streaming community wasn’t what it is. Even with social media taking over the marketing world, I don’t think anyone in ‘11 could have imagined that video games would be popular as a spectator event. I know I never saw this trend coming and hell, I still

Well said. The whole “not realistic” problem is part of our suspension of disbelief. It is basically people saying that it isn’t realistic within what we are accepting as normal for this world. Part of it is the more realistic graphics and designs make something so unrealistic and stylized (the flying car) seem really

I’m going to repost something I wrote in another thread about this game.

Oh come on, they’ve had years to work on this game, and a massive amount of emotionally devastating games have come out for them to learn from. The kid and the griffon dying is the happiest possible outcome for this game.

Well, looks like the wave of gimmicky VR games is finally here. We knew it was coming; the gaming industry loves to do gimmicky showpieces as soon as there’s any new type of control peripheral and just can’t resist making an item in the game be the same as the new peripheral. Well, at least it will probably go the

Damn... it’s like mid ‘00s SPIKE TV: The Game.

Is it that hard to imagine that the ship has a multi-species crew and you’ll be travelling with them through this new galaxy? I mean...it isn’t like a predominantly human ship with select representatives of other races on board is something common to Mass Effect... The returning species might not all be squad members

Actually quite a bit of this game has an old school Mega Man vibe to it. The levels have a lot more platforming puzzles than older Kirby games that remind me a lot of the Mega Man games, the roboticized world constantly reminds me of classic Mega Man, and yeah, the first time I got in the robot suit I felt like I was

As Rifftrax said: “Speilberg wanted Sam to look so hard even a blind person could tell he was looking.”

Some more information for people who haven’t seen this info on other articles to help highlight the frustrations PC modders are having with this new system.

Oh I was referring to clothing retexture mods more than anything. I like stylish and stealthy black as much as the next nerd, but there is just an insane amount of clothing mods that turn armor and outfits to just solid black as an “improvement.” No varying shades of black, no attempt to add highlight or depth, just

Which means when the 90's are over you’ll lose your powers, wear a really weird super suit for a while, then eventually become a single-mom vampire.

True, and the average modder probably isn’t willing to jump through the hoops for it. Like with Skyrim, it will take a few months of the big using it and talking about it before most of the modding community is comfortable using it. But hey, usually the best mods for these games are 2+ years after the release.

In case anyone wants the mod, here it is.

There are also people having there mods taken from Nexus and ported to consoles without their consent and without credit. The insane amount of entitlement for mods by the console community is staggering. Although I guess insane entitled gamers is nothing new. There’s already talk of people making the F4SE (Fallout 4

On the PC there is a mod to disable the disabling of achievements by mods. I don’t think it is something that will be ported to consoles since it requires a script extender to work.

Not quite, it is missing an endless amount of retextures that turn every god damned thing in to black on black on black.

Excellent points. The other problem is that the properties that are popular enough to get movies tend to already be fairly cinematic games, so just removing the gameplay aspect and turning it in to a movie leads to a product that feels less interesting than the original game. That’s more or less the problem with the

The only new game from this year I’ve beaten is the Far Harbor expansion for Fallout 4. It did a good job of bringing back some RPG elements to the game, mostly a more nuanced way to handle different factions of the main quest. Still no New Vegas (and obviously not an RPG experience like the original two), but I
