Which means when the 90's are over you’ll lose your powers, wear a really weird super suit for a while, then eventually become a single-mom vampire.

True, and the average modder probably isn’t willing to jump through the hoops for it. Like with Skyrim, it will take a few months of the big using it and talking about it before most of the modding community is comfortable using it. But hey, usually the best mods for these games are 2+ years after the release.
In case anyone wants the mod, here it is.
There are also people having there mods taken from Nexus and ported to consoles without their consent and without credit. The insane amount of entitlement for mods by the console community is staggering. Although I guess insane entitled gamers is nothing new. There’s already talk of people making the F4SE (Fallout 4…
On the PC there is a mod to disable the disabling of achievements by mods. I don’t think it is something that will be ported to consoles since it requires a script extender to work.
Not quite, it is missing an endless amount of retextures that turn every god damned thing in to black on black on black.
I firmly believe there is an SMBC comic that applies to every article on io9/gizmodo.
Excellent points. The other problem is that the properties that are popular enough to get movies tend to already be fairly cinematic games, so just removing the gameplay aspect and turning it in to a movie leads to a product that feels less interesting than the original game. That’s more or less the problem with the…
The only new game from this year I’ve beaten is the Far Harbor expansion for Fallout 4. It did a good job of bringing back some RPG elements to the game, mostly a more nuanced way to handle different factions of the main quest. Still no New Vegas (and obviously not an RPG experience like the original two), but I…
Well, let’s face it...most of the people causing a big uproar over this don’t actually read the comics. Hell even if you don’t read them and only get your updates from io9 and other blogs doing reviews (which is not a bad way to stay abreast on current comic lore if you don’t have the time or patience to read them)…
I’ve seen some pretty aggressive fanbases, but I am really shocked by people reacting to an article about a possible two month delay for a brand new IP. Just imagine what will happen not only here, but on all other review sites if it isn’t treated as the greatest game of all time. At least this experience can help…
I’m not a fan of the armor or the coloring...but yeah, the face is really what is making it seem so off. Like a lot of people have said, it looks a lot more like a knock off than an official version of Mega Man. With all the different iterations of Mega Man throughout the years, there was always something about the…
True those don’t follow the q-u rule, but most of those also aren’t english or even western words. Qi is a romanized alphabet translation for a Chinese word. Someone sat down and developed the pinyin system in the late 50's just so there would be some sort of way to translate written chinese, and it really doesn’t…
I think if more people understood how the Nazi party rose to power they’d be a lot more concerned with Trump’s statements. In school, it always came across that WWI ended and things were fine until...BAM! Nazis everywhere and they’re exterminating the Jews. It isn’t something a lot of Americans learn that the rise was…
Blizzard also worked fairly hard to turn Diablo 3 from mediocre to pretty damn great. I played it at launch with friends but we all lost interest pretty fast. Then I heard about all the changes post expansion and got back in to it, and I found it to be a completely different game (in a good way). I tend not to get…
While the collective mobs of the internet would be hating on this movie under any circumstances, I really feel like a big problem was just that those weren’t very good trailers. From the editing, music, and what jokes they focused on, they seemed like any generic trailer for any generic comedy movie.
“When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” - C.S. Lewis
As much as I love the X-men, their universe is so damn big that it really works better on its own. It gets a little hard to push the segregation and fear issues behind their world when you’ve got a world jam packed with other super powered beings that aren’t being discriminated like that. To make it work you have to…
Now we just need them to find a way to get Mephisto in the MCU so we can get a scene of Martin Freeman and the devil (or y’know, a super powerful demonic entity who likes to make humans think he’s the devil) sitting around waiting for T’challa to show up and having small talk about Martin’s lack of pants.
It’s “Ghostbusters 2 Syndrome.” Ghosts, portable nuclear accelerators, and medieval tyrants in paintings were fine, but when you have the Statue of Liberty walking through NYC being controlled with pink slime and an NES joystick controller, we consider it to be just plain crazy.
