They’re involved in so many other projects you can tell the comic doesn’t always come first anymore. Also, now that they’re relative big shots, they certainly have a very different perspective than as “two guys on a couch.” The only stuff of theirs I find funny are the strips that focus on being older gamers or gamers

At least Immortals had a nice aesthetic and was interesting at points. Hell apart from one line, there’s nothing to say the world of Immortals was actually Earth or Greece. The idea that the gods and monsters all had this sort of ethereal vibe to them that got translated by humans in to the forms we’re used to was

The Nolan Batman movies (commonly called Nolanverse) are a completely separate thing from these new movies. Those movies had a story, told it, and now they’re done. It was a more realistic batman in a world without super powers or magic so it really wouldn’t have fit with adding the whole Justice League in to that

And falleen, the species Xizor is. (Also the falleen ran Black Sun on the Clone Wars show.) They were mostly reptilian with scales and cold blood, but were semi mammals in that they had some hair, women had breasts, and a generally mammalian reproductive system.

Same with the releases on the Virtual Console. Not just the Mega Man games, either. A lot of the classic Nintendo games intentionally kept glitches, bugs and exploits to make it feel as much like the original as possible.

Even this picture of a costume shop for the DC movies seems to be dark, bland and grey. Hopefully enthusiastic actors like Mamoa will keep things from getting too serious.

Man I am really tired of the “character jumps off the cliff only to be carried by a previously out of frame entity” shot. I feel like that is becoming as big a trailer cliche as the Inception “womp” horn or the flickering camera for horror and thriller movies.

Actually the whole emulator scene logic of “legal since I own a physical copy” isn’t entirely accurate. The legality of emulation and roms, both for out of print and in print games, isn’t as cut and dry as most of us believe. Even using legally obtained software on hardware it wasn’t intend for is kind of illegal.

The dungeon design, sword-play and boss design in this Zelda were some of the best. A lot of the bosses were bigger and a lot more intimidating. That water temple boss still creeps me out.

People have a hard time understanding that when you say something personally doesn’t appeal to you, you don’t mean it is outright bad. I had a lot of arguments back in the early days of Halo and Assassin’s Creed where I couldn’t get people to understand that I just wasn’t in to those games. I thought they were good

I can relate. I didn’t get over my fear of deep water monsters until I played Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. If I wanted all those shiny armors and weapons...I’d have to fight that sea serpent a couple hundred times. And that scary angler fish in the swamp...and the shark/dragon/fish...and the even bigger sea dragon...and

Sometimes this stuff gets a pass because it doesn’t hurt them in any way. Being disassembled, never actually saying what it is and having no logo makes it pretty harmless. If anything, it could be treated as an homage or even cross promotion because most people will see it and think of SHIELD and the Helicarrier in

You make a good point, but just because a lot of people are paying for the licensing rights to use Star Wars on a product doesn’t mean they aren’t tightly controlling the brand. Try and use the Star Wars name on any product without approval and Disney will shut it down insanely fast. Disney has always had some of the

Yeah a big part of of copyright and licensing is about making sure the original product is what people get when they look for it and protecting the value of the brand. This fan project could be absolutely perfect, but because Disney and EA have no control over it, it can be viewed to damage the brand of “Knights of

Man I loved Castle of the Winds. I was only about 4 or 5 when I remember my dad started playing it. I would sit next to him and spend hours drawing maps of the dungeons. It was such a massive game, with the randomized dungeons, character leveling options, and brutal early D&D based gameplay. Those damn Barrow Wights

Funny thing is...the movie actually was fairly romantic. Hell I bought in to the relationship between Wade and his almost-as-crazy girlfriend a lot easier than any rom/com relationship. There were definitely moments in that movie that can cause people to tear up. Luckily they knew just how long to drag it on before

Good round up, despite lots of odd inaccuracies. It was kind of odd how many were labeled as one of the clip shows, and not the show it was originally from. Also a few of these have been done multiple times on Simpsons, and they picked the worst clip to show. The one that immediately comes to mind is the Godfather

First one was pretty bad, but it had some decent moments when they just decided to embrace the insanity. Like Splinter and Mecha-shredder’s throwdown. It was also almost saved by the good banter between the turtles. They were funny, they screwed around with each other, frequently insulted one another and went back and

People also forget that the original trilogy wasn’t just all Lucas. There were other people involved who knew how to tell George “no” and he listened to him. Especially his first wife, who’s editing of the first Star Wars is one of the biggest reasons it was so good. I believe there were some articles on here a few
