They did? I need to go back and play it because I really do love JFG, but holy shit even as a kid who didn’t know better I hated the control scheme.

Only thing kids need to be protected from in Jet Force Gemini is the god awful control scheme. I’m still traumatized from that shit.
Not really. While some of the missions feel like the kind of things you do in GTA, when most people think of GTA style games they think of giant sandboxes. While Cyberpunk is kind of an open world, it is most certainly not a sandbox. The game is actually pretty linear with its story and the actual city they made is…
At release the game was suffering from hype having distorted what most people were expecting from the game. Depending on who you asked they might have told you it was a cyberpunk GTA FPS, or cyberpunk Skyrim, or cyberpunk Witcher game. It simply was never that kind of game and it was never going to be, but a lot of…
Post Silver-Age (70s) Lex is almost always depicted as very put together, someone who is always at least acting like he’s in complete control of all situations and the smartest human in the DC world (or at least tied with Mr. Terrific). Yes, smarter than Batman. Usually it takes time for him to be driven to the point…
I think they brought up Origins because it wasn’t Conroy in that one. Joker and Batman were voiced by different people. Both of whom did great, to be honest.
Its funny, I also have a nephew who wasn’t interested in the older game when I showed it to him, but is HYPED for this one. He’s 7, he’s in a huge “I love all things Mario” phase. He’s never done a traditional RPG, and usually gets annoyed at games that make him read or do math, but I think his Mario love will get him…
It felt like it tried to milk comedy out of every single situation rather than let scenes play out the way they should, it crams a lot of storylines in to a single movie, so nothing really gets to be utilized to its fullest, doesn’t use a very interesting villain well at all, wastes basically 10 years worth of one of…
Phobia is not just “fear” in the traditional sense. Phobias are extreme and irrational aversions to something that are disproportionate to any actual threat the thing in question could pose.
Pretty much. It has a few truly great moments (mostly the characters), with a lot of “just decent” stuff in between. All helped by it not being an endless slog so you can get an actual sensation of “I finished the game.”
I think that’s what a lot more people are pointing out with SF. After some of the initial post-hype disappointment faded, most people seem to agree that it is just fine. Not as defining as Skyrim, but still fun, just missing a lot of the charm you got from Bethesda’s “stumbling on adventure because I walked this way”…
And while cartoonish (intentionally) with its take on capitalism, it has incredibly memorable moments and really entertaining NPCs that stick with you. Murder on Eridanos was more fun than I had with Starfield in its entirety. Plus, OW actually has guns that are fun to shoot.
Most reports say that he’s just very busy, and setting aside time for very small parts, even ones he liked just isn’t doable.
Turns out the Games were just bored after working from home all day.
Sound of Silence is one of my favorite songs of all time, I like Disturbed, and I even do enjoy this cover. But even with all the technical merits and my own feelings on it I can’t pretend its not so over the god damn top with angst that it didn’t tear the fabric of space-time and turn me back in to a 14 year old with…
Its especially sad because Eccleston could have done a larger-than-life megalomaniac Malekith very well. They likely just didn’t want him to seem anything like Loki, but that would have been a much better arc for the movie was Loki getting a view of just how bad he will end up if he keeps going down his path, as…
He killed him, but Fisk and his minion (the creepy guy who wanted to take Maya’s place and wanted Maya on top of that) sold his location out to Ronin, and then he and a few select others were suspiciously just “not there” when the attack happened. Can’t remember why, but Fisk and that flunkie wanted her dad and most…
Yeah its like saying “I don’t like this Mussolini guy, I’m just gonna go live in Germany, they seem to have their shit together.”
