They also really need to redo 1 if they want to introduce their newer audience to Wesker.

Making us actively root for that asshole who shot Ziyal in cold blood was amazing. Truly highlights how fucked up war is in making terrible people heroes.

At least the N64 Paper Mario is playable on Switch with the N64 emulator. Would definitely benefit from an update, but it is at least accessible whereas TYD is really hard to play legitimately.

Clancy Brown’s Lex is just as definitive and important as Hamill’s joker. Incredibly well written, amazing performance, lots of layers, and had a slow burn from ruthless CEO to full on silver age style supervillain. It was an incredible amount of character growth over 3 different series. For a lot of people (and kids)

Some of the best pizzas I’ve ever had were from a by-the-slice place situated near a pretty major bar-crawl. They made basically every combination you could think of, and it was a place that you usually tried first when drunk, but went back sober. They looked like pizzas that a bunch of stoners would imagine up, but

I think the most interesting evil story in this campaign is pretty much what happens before the game itself. Gortash’s journey with his original conspirator is basically what you’d want. Stealing the crown, worming your way in to Baldur’s Gate’s politics, getting Zhents and Bane-ites secretly set up all over town,

I mentioned it in other posts, but I’ll say it again, it is more annoying in BG 3 because it really seemed like they were going to do better than the other CRPGs with it. The game starts off so strong, and it feels like you have so many good ways to play the story, but it just falls off a cliff pretty fast for “evil.

Mostly because they put a lot of the groundwork for the storyline in there and give you tons of options. The game lets you start these questlines, and then never follows through. Tons of people will play an “evil” version just to see things be different, and its a bit of a letdown that all the buildup goes nowhere.

Dark Urge is the only good way to play evil, to be honest. It is still very rough in a lot of sections, but it gives your character a lot more motivation. You’ll still end up skipping about half the questlines, especially in Act 3, because being evil just means you don’t do it. Siding with the goblins is kind of fun,

Yeah honestly I think these games make evil shallow and more focused on being a psycho because that’s just how TTRPG evil games go most of the time, so that’s the frame of reference people have. It takes a lot of work to make a good evil campaign, and it definitely helps to be in a setting that allows for that. Its

The evil ending honestly isn’t even that bad compared to the good ending. Both are relatively abrupt and there’s not much that happens afterwards. The evil Dark Urge ending is even more abrupt, but it tells you everything you need to know. The real complaint is how little there is to do for an actual “evil playthrough.

No, that still counts as a long rest, it just won’t heal you or restore anything. They label it as “partial rest.” Its for when you DO want to move story events forward or trigger evening cutscenes, but your team isn’t hurt or you just not hurt enough to warrant using supplies.

Oh good to know. I’ll have to check those out. I always remembered my dad playing those games, but I could never quite get the hang of them myself at that age.

They did talk about the SSI gold stuff, and they’re right, most of those are not fun to play unless you’re looking at it from a different lens. They’re important parts of D&D, video game, and Forgotten Realms history, but they’re rough. Spot on with ToEE though. It was overshadowed by so many other big RPGs at the

Hey! Cut the guy some slack, a dear friend of his recently died quite suddenly.

For the Guide I’m sure all the setup at the manor was handled by her wraiths. I’m shocked they didn’t mention that she is still technically the caretaker of the local council. I also agree that I really thought it was going to be interesting to have a season of Guillermo going through the “new vampire” stuff and

Yeah but for this game the local map is basically a traditional “world map” for the respective zone. It is very annoying to not even get general topography, especially when you’re trying to find plants and animals to scan. It’d be more like if Fallout didn’t even show you the immediate area you’re in. Just icons sort

They are giving SAG-AFTRA everything they ask for, and will also be one of the first people to have new shows on the schedule. The longer their competitors take to give in to the union, the more they get to be the only ones with new shows and stars doing press tours/late night circuits.

Holy shit these immortality tech bros are hilarious. Its basically Victorian electrotherapy science all over again.

For the right crowd, it really does. I bought those Odyssey joy-cons from Japan for my second set because they’re so much nicer than the bright red ones. Almost everyone I know immediately recognizes them as Mario ones because of that specific shade.
