It would have been nice if their big intimate moment (which should have happened already in that time gap to be honest....) had been somewhere other than the shores of a dreary deadland.

I was expecting there to be a story moment where we cleared off the clouds and saw it had been hiding some serious fuckery Ultima was up to.
They also could have come up with something more interesting than just clouds since it was going to be permanent from that moment on. The devs for this game used stuff like this in FFXIV a lot and usually the apocalypse sky was prettier than the normal one.
Kind of. Kurn was Worf’s biological brother. They met in TNG, helped out Gowron, got the family name restored. In DS9 after Worf refused to join the Klingons in conquering Cardassia the family lost all its honor. Kurn showed up as a drunken vagrant on DS9 and asked Worf to give him an honorable death because their…
Del Taco is way better these days, makes me sad I don’t have one within 100 miles. Probably because of the level of brand recognition and loyalty Taco Johns has for my state. I’ve never been to a Taco Time but I have to imagine its probably better too.
Taco John’s original name was even worse. It was founded only a few years after Taco Bell, and they called themselves......Taco House.
Its a pretty well known franchise in a very very specific set of regions. Been around almost as long as Taco Bell, but seemed to be happy to just be a regional thing (or at least didn’t want to be owned by one of the conglomerates that would have made it bigger). Used to be decent food, big portions, well filled tacos,…
The ones being household names are actually part of the problem with getting public support. They are the 1% of 1% of actors, but a lot of people believe they’re indictive of all actors in the union. Even on this site you’ll see people talking about how they aren’t going to support “millionaire celebrities” and are…
I remember long ago at my game shop three guys decided to do an “Anime authentic” game of Yugioh, where one of the guys acted as kind of a judge and allowed whatever bullshit the players wanted in the game if they could come up with a crazy but logical enough explanation for it.
He was already a vampire. The Baron had turned him already. It doesn’t have anything to do with Derek. That was just to show you can’t have a vampire turn someone who is already a vampire, it makes them explode. No one knew that because the situation had never come up before. Guillermo is genetically a Vampire Slayer.…
Also don’t be thrown off by the first Eikon fight that is just a dull CS with rail shooting. I don’t know why they did it like that for the prologue/demo, but that’s not how those fights work later in the game. I feel bad that I have to give people this many disclaimers for a really good game. I liked the prologue,…
Just in case you haven’t seen it said elsewhere, be prepared for the opening prologue (about 2ish hours) of the game to feel very grim and dark. The game really is not like that all the way through, and while there is all kinds of GoT style kingdom fighting going on, it really doesn’t involve the main characters and…
These character moments are really what made the game memorable. There’s definitely some bloated side quests, pointless diversions, and you’ll miss having an actual party, but overall you spend a lot more time just interacting with various NPCs than you’d expect. Almost every major NPC, both on your little team of…
I understand they didn’t want to go full party because they wanted more freedom in the story to have people move in and out, but what’s really annoying is that with very few tweaks, they could have easily had it so you always had one or two people accompanying you at all times without it messing with the story. If…
I thought that was where they were going with it. Same with her deciding to willingly give Clive Shiva’s power even though at that point they had no idea what the ramifications would be on her own magical abilities. A simple “She’d been forced to overuse her magic and eikon for years so she’s getting lithified” would…
I did love how Clive’s main outfit was just a rehash of the Scion Traveler’s set, but damn it we needed more options.
Get the whole hideout crew together and host a booze cruise to the Continent on the Enterprise. Fight pirates, find Leviathan, drink and listen to Byron’s crazy stories all night long.
I really can’t believe we didn’t get a tag-team fight with Shiva. Just...such a massive missed opportunity.
The game has quite a few nice, supportive characters who are in way over their heads, but always want to help their friend/family. I mean the game even gets its own Sokka who has no powers, just a sword, and always helps the main team out even though they basically can turn in to gods. He also responds the most…
He’s an amazing uncle. No magic powers, no special training, throws himself in to the thick of it with no hesitation. He’s a legitimately good guy, and one of the biggest players in actually helping set the world up to survive this apocalypse and be better off than it was before.
