"The Walking Dead" are the people on the show who are still alive.

But there are always new zombies being made. They didn't start with a finite number of walkers at the beginning and that's it - no way to re-populate the herd. As long as there are people alive, people are at risk of becoming a walker.

Those shows exist - they're called The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, etc. Or anything with 'Teen Mom' in the title.
