That’s actually what I loved about Queen Latifah’s movie. Her character just happened to be plus size because that’s how Queen is but the movie wasn’t making any jokes about it. I clearly specified heavily skewed power dynamics as part of the equation. Boss/employee. Inmate/guard. No such skewed power dynamic exists between you and the hypothetical dude you turned down for a date.
