That’s a good call. That entire storyline was terrible. The gambling resort was the worst Star Wars moment since the prequels. The love triangle is unnecessary as well. It was all filler.

I think people tend to give Bennet and Kyle’s weaker work (aka: office racers) too much credit for simply being original and creative. You gotta get some laughs as well. A lot of that was as painful as the first half of the Luke Null bully sketch. It just didn’t work. The 80s sitcom sketch they did with Larry David…
Agreed. It was a C episode. Chance was a good sport and did great, but the material was just weak. The opening monologue song was so incredibly unfunny. It was almost impressive with how unfunny it was...like it was supposed to be some anti-comedy bit. Update was okay, but not great. The Obama song was decent, but…
I’m just gonna repeat this because it sums up what I’m feeling more effectively than anything I could have thought up:
Solid A. The entire second half was a riot. The march of greatest hits characters even included the ski-lift lady! Just great stuff all around. I was trying to figure out if it was the finale towards the end. They could have easily ended the season with this one, although it would have been extremely similar to the…
You’re comparing one group of society who break their backs to fight against political correctness, with another group that breaks their backs to fight with one another over who is the most perfectly, pure-minded citizen of their perfect PC society. Conservatives just toy with the left when it comes to the disease…
Cheap Trick pulled this gimmick on their self-titled 1997 CD as well. It’s a nifty lil’ inexpensive trick.
C episode at best. That was sloppy and awful. They totally phoned this one in. It just seems like everything was totally unrehearsed.
Yes, I don’t know if it wasn’t funny because it was so sloppy or if it just wasn’t funny because of bad writing but MAAAAAN was that a bad episode. Just terrible.
Awful episode in a season that has been barely maintaining B- status. I think the novelty of the 80s references has work off. This season needed more substance and it feels like they have gone into ultra 80s zone instead. It just all feels too cobbled together...like they don’t really have a solid plan for where…
Funkhouser has been killing it all season. That moment in Larry’s kitchen when he bumps into the shelf with all the pots and pans after him and Larry had just said their final goodbye just killed me. And him gurgling the tap water while he was saying that he liked it!!! Just pure gold right there!
Funkhouser was the MVP of this episode for sure. There was some great stuff in this one. I don’t think any show has ever made me laugh out loud so consistently. Larry David is like a comedy super-genius.
This was a totally classic Curb episode. Best of the season so far. Larry’s “I hope you’re enjoying truffle season” line during the funeral just killed me. So dark, so evil, so conniving and straight-up funny as shit. Special kudos to Funkhouser (once again) in this episode as well.
Drug episodes are always a good sell for edgy television. I think this show has done a lot better though. It’s kind of like the Drugachusetts episode of Mr. Show. Really great back in the day, but it hasn’t aged nearly as well as something like The Audition or The Story of Everest. This is probably good for their…
Enough with the comic books and the heroes that are super...
