Also, the definition of backup is essentially “redundancy”.

Nobody with any AV experience thinks that a backup piece of equipment is redundant and pointless.

I happen to have a fair bit of knowledge, having done AV work on radio and for stage productions. It’s called redundancy. Any number of things can go wrong, from bad cables to bad jacks to shorts in the mic itself. Even when I worked in radio we had two mics in case one went down and that was a shitty college

That first link is literally making fun of conspiracy theories.

shhh don’t confuse him, he doesn’t know what conspiracy means!

The whole point is redundancy? they want a backup in case the primary system fails.

1) If you spend enough time around live sound, you learn to not trust wired mics religiously, and it makes sense to have a fully redundant backup. In the case of Axient transmitters, they can remotely change gain, frequency, etc. to account for on the fly changes driven from the receiver. The last thing you want is

I love the “She’s still dying” remark. So am I, so is the poster. We’re all dying. I’d be a lot more concerned if she WASN’T dying. :P

“I think it’s really dangerous to answer such important questions that have confounded so many people for hundreds of years, to ask me to give you my solutions, as if I had any, in 30 seconds.”

Thank god you brought to light the existence of these remarks, previously only published in obscure places like USA Today and ESPN.

“If it’s not your daily experience, you don’t understand it. I didn’t talk to my kids about how to act in front of a policeman when you get stopped. I didn’t have to do that. All of my black friends have done that. There’s something that’s wrong about that, and we all know that.”

Holy crap, that is the most nuanced position I have heard from anybody. #Popovich2020! Make America have long term consistent success like the Spurs!!!

It’s possible they didn’t mention it because they only mentioned his shooting in passing, as the article wasn’t about that. It was about what Peter Feigin said.

I really wish I could like TYT, but even as a hardcore progressive liberal, I can’t stand Cenk’s absurd about of faux outrage over basically everything.

So...if I don’t have a TV...I just put that on a table and it projects images on to my wall?

If you watch football instead of a presidential debate, you are part of the problem.

Somewhere Bill Belichick just became urgently aroused, and he doesn’t know why.

Are you okay? Wanna talk it out? We’re here for you, man. Whatever you need.

Ted Cruz combines the charisma of a mortician with the political savvy of the kid who wears a suit while running for high school class president.

This gave me a reason to like Chip Kelly.
