This comment is more fun now, considering Making of a Murderer and the fact that Avery is probably wrongfully convicted a second time.

Is the Avery did it theory based on the idea that he murdered her at home, buried most of the bones right outside his own window but also took the time to move a few bones to a couple other places? It’s pretty obvious she wasn’t burned initially at his property, considering bone fragments turned a good distance away

He has no duty to prove who did do it, and in fact was prevented from making the argument in court. But, no, the defense team repeatedly said they do not believe the police murdered her. They believe the police planted evidence against Avery because they believed him to be guilty but wanted to get it right. Because

Not to mention the women that Gregory Allen raped later.

The filmakers did present alternate theories — Avery’s cousin who was clearly lying about when he saw Halbach based on the bus driver’s testimony or the brother and ex-boyfriend. Each was gave highly suspicious and conflicting stories and was never further investigated.

The things in the article are true, but several weren’t left out of the documentary and most of the remainder have serious chain of custody issues (for instance I’m not shocked the .22 bullet matched his gun, but it wasn’t there the first several times the garage was searched — I suspect that was fired into the wall

But Halbach’s DNA should have been all over her own car key. The fact that it wasn’t is beyond suspicious, and the key was clearly planted. An officer called in the plate from Halbach’s car 3 days before it turned up on the Avery lot. There’s so many chain of custody issues with that evidence that it’s entirely

I had the same reaction when I realized I was a freshman 20 years ago. I was the starting goalie as a freshman, so I never had to take any of that shit (or piss, I guess). But a lot of the other guys did. The floor of the hockey showers is probably worse than piss anyway, so no one thought it too big a deal. A few

In countries that don’t have America’s history of minstrel shows, why is blackface still de facto racist?

He’s making a joke about the offer sheet the Preds matched. Not a terribly funny joke, but at least he can spell Shea Weber right.

20 years ago there was a guy on my high school hockey team that liked to pee on peoples’ feet in the shower. That’s probably technically some sort of sexual assault, but we mostly just called him names and laughed it off. Also you learned to dance like Yosemite Sam was shooting at your feet.

Hate to nitpick, but they also weren’t in Texas.

Ruff is better than Fisher. Maybe like the Bill Cowher of hockey coaches. One place a really long time, but he made it to the finals a few times and lost (which Cowher did before finally winning). I still think Ruff might get a cup before he’s done. Fisher won 52% of his games coached, while Ruff is at 56% and only

The Stars have had a brutal schedule of late though — they played 7 games in 11 nights, 5 of them on the road. In those 11 days they played at STL, home, at CBJ, home, at NJ, at NYI and at NYR. The end of the trip is a little easier because they wouldn’t travel for the last three, but that’s a brutal 11 days. I think

Had to look it up, but in 2004 Rich Gannon got hurt 3 weeks into the season (career ending), Kerry Collins led the Raiders to 3 more wins from there (they were 2-1 when Gannon went down, finished 5-11). Seems like you might have better NFL experience than Sark.

I know I’m way late to this, but they don’t get expressly paid, but do get room and board and a per diem (which is basically getting paid). That’s sufficient to lose NCAA eligibility.

hahaha, oops. Although in the case of Johnny Football that might have been accurate.

Wasting everyone’s time with a comment like “headline makes no sense” isn’t going to get you much respect, particularly when taking about 30 2 seconds to consider whether any of the words has more than one meaning would have cleared things up for you.

Chuck is also a verb, meaning throw out. They aren’t throwing out coach Pagano. Are you fucking serious that that was too crafty for you?

They weren’t built around their QB, but lost a top tier RB and had to use 5 QBs. Are you sure you want to minimize what they overcame there?
