I've tried using the native dialer with a PBXes.org SIP account, and can't seem to get outgoing calls to work. I'm on the same Tmobile plan, and used to use grooveip with a GV number. The call quality was so bad that it wasn't worth it. I'm hoping I can get this to work on my Nexus 4, but I'm clearly missing some

And if anyone reading this does not know who Don Amador is, they should. Go RIGHT NOW! (edit: okay, so "right now" was technically not true. Website is down. But when it's up...RIGHT THEN!)

Damn. I was hoping it would go further into San Felipe for spectating.

These puking-out-of-window stories crack me up. Not the puking, but the aftermath. I should've shared earlier, but better late than never: after a work xmas party, my wife was the one doing the puking out of a cab. Upon dropping us off at our house, I had to hose down the side of the cab. Then I took the cabbies

1. There's no way you can take the wrong exit at the San Diego County border crossings.

This comment thread is better than the video in the main post! I'm not an airplane aficionado, so auto engines in airplanes = drool worthy...especially with bonus carbon fiber....TURBOS....oh man...I gotta go now...

I don't disagree. I'm just biased having a YJ, and was thinking of the comparison to the old Land Rover Series III: tough, bare, utilitarian, leaf springs, etc.

The Land Rover, a British-made all-terrain vehicle that will earn a reputation for its use in exotic locales, debuts at an auto show in Amsterdam on April 30, 1948. The first Land Rover, known as the Series 1, was the brainchild of Maurice Wilks, the head designer for the British car company Rover, of which his

We put our two kids' car seats in the Ford Flex and cruised around for 2 hours before buying it. Talk about getting a feel for a car...if I can be comfortable putting them in the seats, and then getting kicked in my seat, and then having the little one fall asleep before we were done, I'm sold! Seriously though, that

And Autism Awareness (~2:03)! I love it. Well, it's sad that so many people have to experience the challenges faced by those with Autism, but it's great to see international support groups promoting awareness and education. Hopefully in a country like that, the support gets to the poor families as well, although I'm

The six-speed was a real pleasure, with a nice short-throw, notch shifter and gear ratios that are well-selected, even with the massive engine power increase. Like I mentioned before, second gear is absolutely the finest place to be — I'm looking for some retirement property there.

Now playing

Supercross in crazy rain/mud in Daytona, '08. The racing wasn't exactly fast, but it was gnarly, and ended in absolute upset.

That's cool that he tried this, good for him. I'm jealous. A few comments (okay, opinions):

Desert racing is more Jalop than most people realize. Love these stories. Thanks for sharing. I grew up watching races in Baja, and will always love the personalities involved with this type of motorsport.

I admire your patience with this one. I couldn't even make it through reading the last few back-n-forths with that guy. Your opinion was adequately explained way the hell earlier.

Kinja is definitely an equal opportunity pain in the ass.

Beat me to it...

If only I was quick enough to enter my old Jeep's gearshifter: the Louisville Slugger edition (made by my old man quite a few years ago):

It will be the new ultimate moto hauler (the cargo version). I know a few people with the 2wd version, and they're great for that (i.e. better than the short roof of an old Econoline), but this will be epic. You often need 4wd heading out to camping spots, maybe a little mud or sand on the way to a good trailhead or

We love our "Fridge". If it didn't drive so well, like a way smaller car (and have stiff sway bars), it would be way less awesome. But it hauls ass, kids, groceries, and doesn't feel like a damn SUV. That being said, I'm probably biased, but I like this mini-not-so-mini because I feel like the squared-off shape is
