This Amelia/Owen storyline would actually be pretty compellng to watch if it weren't for the fact that Amelia already told Owen in Season 11 that she lost a child.

I think one of the biggest mistakes the show has done in recent years was not having Amelia help April through her grief with Samuel. But it looks like this time, they are going for April supporting Amelia during an eventual pregnancy.
