I don't really want it to be, but this is a "Happiness" reference isn't it?

I really love now they have her dealing with it…with equal amounts of "omg he's dreamy" and "there's something WRONG at the circle K".

Ok, can I just tell you all how attached I am to these recaps? As soon as I heard Dawes, I almost rolled my eyes, but then I thought, "I cannot WAIT to see what everyone has to say about the DAWES!!!"

I was a little confused an perhaps I missed something. Was the challenge to design "ready to wear"? To that end, has it all become "ready to wear"?

Hysterectomy pants??? Awesome.

Hey, here's a question… wouldn't the entail pass to one of Robert's grandsons?  So, if Mary were to marry the newsman and had a son, wouldn't it pass to him??

THE TUDORS!  THAT's where I recognize her from.  Thank you.

I can totally see Mrs. Hughes describing what she saw.  At the end of the day, that Major crossed class lines and took advantage of one her maids and in turn, interfered with the smooth running of her ship.  We've seen how much the Granthams care about their staff.  I can see some recourse coming Ethel's way for sure.

Yeah, I definitely thought it was more about the children than the sex…especially in the context of this show where the question of Downton's future is based on the presence of Male heirs.

"inject them with needle-drugs"  There is something so funny about this phrase and I can't stop laughing.  Thank you. I needed that today.

The editing in this show is really getting on my fucking nerves.  All the jump cuts, strobe effects and general herky jerky crap is making it impossible to actually SEE any of the clothes!!!!

I got one.  It was glorious.

Yes, except unlike Fast Times, D&C isn't deeply, deeply unsettling.

That car is my favorite car in the whole film.

He likes red heads.

Goddamnit I love this movie.  There's a great scene in the pool hall…and I can't remember the actual main scene because I'm always too busy listening to Ben Affleck off screen ripping on his opponent for being so bad at pool: "I'm going to have to start knocking your balls in just to get 'em out of my way."  There are

I did too.

I maintain that the improvement is a function of the absence of stupid Taub. Seriously. Him not being there was like a big bag of shit being lifted off the show.

I'm on Team Cora. I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of interlopers and I can't stand it when people try too hard. Which is what she's been doing since she arrived. Her pride in her medical knowledge gets in her own way all the time. And she's a steamroller.

I think the explanation for Austin's misstep is simple: the producers told him to throw the challlenge and he did so in the most obvious way possible.
