A humongous worldwide platform? How is the organization hurt if other content is as banal as you say? Also, your response seems to try to revive the story (all press is good press, no?) after being replaced by Drake’s beard.

I’m the sayer of the hey. I think because I say it to bring the shields back up. I sometimes hear this sound: http://noproblo.dayjo.org/ZeldaSounds/OOT/OOT_PauseMenu_Open.wav
Well, I am now going to use my evil witch powers to curse you for leading me to listen to a travesty of Halleluja that involves mmbops or doowops or what have you. Unlike yours, my powers are strong. Expect to encounter a disproportionate amount of faraway parking, inexperienced cashiers/waitstaff, and Amazon order…
What the living hell?
I have no idea what you’re going for here. Neither of them was told or had reason to believe that if they did not perform, they would lose their career, as far as I know.
Performing for a world leader is a political act, just as much as forcing the general public to live within the doctrines of a religion they don’t practice is.
I do think that however the second person may have worded their post (thanks for pointing that out to me), it is absolutely true that identifying strongly as a feminist does put off the majority of men, regardless of her other personal attributes.
fair enough, although in my experience, men of color also tend toward this model of hetero relationships. I was simply trying to limit my statement, based on an unfortunate, racist dividing line. I do appreciate you pointing that out - sincerely.
I had no problem criticizing you. But this passive aggressive comment tips me off that perhaps you are male.
No...it’s really not condescending to say something about just myself (or your friend about herself). You are the one equating her position with your own - making the comment about you by inferring what her self-narrative says about you, which is nothing.
I kind of agree with your second person, whom you call delusionally arrogant, and kind of for the same reason you gave to your first person. Most (cis white) men in our culture are looking for looks and workers (cooks, maids) rather than true partnerships. Look, there’s one below!
Seriously. Being alone is harder in many ways. But it’s still a choice. Maybe that’s what some of these folks are freaking out about. The idea of choices isn’t very popular right now...
Hear hear! Or staying together “for the children.” That is the absolute lowest. We’re staying together so that our children can pick up on the tension and think that is how marriage should be. If you think kids don’t pick up on that stuff, you’re crazy. If you think it doesn’t matter, you’ve got bigger problems.
Seriously, this thread seems to be plagued with lots of cookie-cutter ideas that fit right into Aimee’s family’s mold.
Where does she say that is what she truly desires?
She sounds miserable because they will not accept her, and because they seem unable to conceive that she might be happier alone. Like you.
This is again a very concrete blank slate comment that seems rooted in resentment and personal experience. I’m really sorry about whatever has happened in your life to evoke this desperation and fear that you have.
So...get married for financial reasons? As long as we’re ok calling marriage out as legalized prostitution, ok. This is a really bleak attitude about human nature that I think is more about the speaker than the words.
Tldr: Friends care - regardless.
And he about destroyed Duvall in the process.
