I always thought the sanity loss was a case of true horror. And not in the scary spooky ghost sense, but by the sheer madness of an overpowering being so ancient and alien you cannot stay sane in it’s presence.

The witcher is kind of setting you up to end with Triss. Yennefer never got really got any showtime even if she was the ultimate one for Geralt ( lore ). The choice was kind of unfair, and i think that’s why most people just romanced Triss. If you know a bit of lore though, it’s obvious Yen is the far better choice…
