Um, that article only provided one example of him being rude to a woman. I'm not really sure that qualifies as a long history of sexism.

I agree he has had his problems, but I think there is an enormous difference between an old man who is sometimes rude and the leader of an organization with the human rights record of the Catholic Church.

Wait, have we checked in with the High priestess of the Druids yet? I find her opinion to be just as valid, and on the plus side her organization does not have centuries of discrimination against women as part of their teachings.

Well I'll say this, this is a far better Disney post then the one about twerking.

Yeah, sadly that was the only way I could get a lot of Who for a while. Even when the DVD's came out a lot took months (and sometimes years in the case of Doctor 8) to come out here.

Allow me to introduce you to my good friend youtube ;-)

Agreed. That's why I love the Audio plays. Given a chance, he is amazing.

The problem was the personality mixed with the outfit. I agree that the coat was amazing, and had they skipped the vest he might have had a better chance, but to mix the mind and the coat together, bad things. I think Baker's Doctor is amazing, just that coat dragged him down. Well, the coat and JNT's slavish attempts

I just started the Dave series. It's good, but yeah season 7 was terrible. 8 had some moments, especially the last episode, but yeah...yeah. Io9 need to do more with great sci fi around the world. There is more to England than doctor who (as much as I love doc who)

The only thing to be sorry about is that they never found a way to get the love that Doctor Who had. So much great British sci ri and humorous just never seems to make it across the pond to the States.

Now, who knows their nerd? ;-)

Called it yesterday. Boo yah!

Big Finish did a line of audio plays that basically were a "What If" line of Doctor Who stories. The 2 with an alternative 3rd Doctor played by David Warner are fantastic, but "He Jests at Scars" was staggering to me. If you have seen the Trial of a Time Lord, this is a must listen to.

I think their were two reasons a lot of people disliked the McGann work (well, 2 main reasons)

But it has Sil. Come on...Sil!

Another commentator mentioned the Big Finish Series. The missing Colin Baker series was released as audio plays, and I have to say the The Nightmare Fair was really quite good. Mission to Magnus brought back the character of Sil, who I enjoyed quite a bit, and it really was a nice episode overall (some vestigial

For those, like me, sad to hear there are no classic Doctors in the 50th, there is a new audio play being released that includes Doctors 4-8, so that's pretty gosh darn great! I even included a link.

I am equally excited (mainly because I miss Tenant and look forward to seeing him again) But I am also curious about when we will see the 1st Doctor special here in the states. BBC America has been pretty good so far about sharing the Who-love, so fingers crossed.

This is the problem with Impressionists. Not accurate enough. This would never happen with Gainsborough or one of those proper painters.

Um, we do all see the TARDIS here...right? I mean, seriously!
