I really do not like this logic. Real Nerds watch Community? Isn't the point of geek culture that you are allowed to like whatever you want without judgement? Part of the fun for me of being a geek is that I can like geeky things and just enjoy them for their pure geekiness. I like Community, but I often cringe at how…
I can definitely understand why many people could see it that way, but I honestly never felt like the show was deliberately mean spirited. Heck, I've seen a lot of shows where the geeky, nerd characters are objects of real ridicule. BBT has always felt more like a funny look at this kind of culture that pokes fun but…
Yeah, but honestly that's a bigger prejudice than anything. I know many nerds/ geeks/ and dorks that have long and happy relationships (my wife and I have been happily together for 3 years now). This episode and Terror of the Zygons are the two Who DVD's I am most looking forward to.

My first thought on seeing this topic was "someone better have posted the Simpsons monorail in the comments"
Of all the Tardis interiors, I still think the oddest one was Peter Cushing's Just wires, computers, a big lever, and a rocking chair.
Yes, but what if we get this version of that future?! It's not worth the risk!
This is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting articles I have read on io9 in some time. Well done Ma'am, well done indeed!
I for one am grateful we are keeping monkeys in their rightful place, lest we forget what happens when ape and monkey get too clever...
