It's actually a listening device in disguise.

He actually created several new inventions, but since they were all related to Vampire hunting, he was afraid to actually patent them, lest the nefarious Nosferatu learn his secrets!

That'll put those oversized soda drinkers on notice!

No, he was the original poster of the image.

From George Takei. I laughed.

I hope her part is small, but still, even then it just feels like it is being jammed in for no real reason other than to connect this film to the other x films.

I used to read Wolverine fairly religiously growing up. I have a complete collection of the comics going back to the original mini series up through the second run of his regular series. I loved the first 2 x-men movies, and even saw things that I liked in X-3 and Wolverine origins (things, not the whole films)

I'm curious, how much did this cost to produce? If it only took 2 people to make it, how much more would it cost to have a team work on it? I know it would be more, but it seems like this would be a show that would make back in advertising and merchandise whatever the costs to produce the show would be. It looks cool,

Intolerance of intolerance is not intolerance. It's called having a social conscious. Orson Scott Card is a bitter and mean spirited man, whose hatred of homosexuals borders on the psychotic (read his version of Hamlet. If there was a law again degeneration of a masterpiece he would be given life with hard labor).

This looks awesome :-) We need a full Wonder Woman series on Cartoon network that would be like this. Maybe that would motive Hollywood to get off their backsides and produce a solid WW movie! She can be cool and tough!

Actually he does/ did. He was a board member for the National Organization for Marriage, a group that advocated and push politicians towards keeping homosexuals from getting married. So he wasn't just a single voice, he was part of a larger group that actually had some power for a while.

No, my argument is all through this discussion. I started the thread with my argument, and I have added to it repeatedly thought. This comment was simply mean to be one more additional point added to it, not the full extent of my argument.

I agree with all your points here. One more thing to add: Think of the pressure all of these people are putting on the actress who would be the female Doctor. All she has to do is completely get an iconic character, and please a rabid fan base who criticizes the smallest of changes and details all the time. She would

"Sarcasm aside" ?

I'm not assuming they will turn into idiots. I am assuming they will continue to go for the easy joke and the simple plotlines that they have been going for. I could also point out that you are assuming that the writers will all suddenly become brilliant, compassionate and sensitive people who will treat a female

I'm not disagreeing with this. However, one point I was going to bring up originally was along these lines. If they change gender and do nothing with it, then what is the point? I can totally see that being the point though, which is why I ultimately felt it was not a compelling argument for why the switch could not

Alright, first, I’m not sure what you mean by straw men. My points are based on real arguments that have been put forward. I am responding to them. If people wish to present new arguments I would be happy to discuss those merits.

Sigh, this is one of the big reasons I gave up on reading weekly issues and now stick to the occasional trade collection.

I agree that the first two seasons were very uneven. I think they were really struggling to find a way to make the show open to Doctor Who fans, and at the same time dark enough to bring in new viewers. Davies himself said that he would never have the Doctor show up on Torchwood, but Jack did go back to Who for a bit.

Good News!
