Reading is good. But physically owning the books? Ehh. Kindles are good, libraries are good too. PDFs are also a thing that exist if you want to support the author (a noble endeavor!), and a thumb drive is way lighter than a stack of books.

For what it’s worth, not only was Kate preparing to deliver the heir-apparent (and subsequent spares), she had a really difficult pregnancy and probably didn’t want to take anything remotely close to a risk when it came time to deliver.
