To be fair, she feels pretty certain these issues go hand in hand and I’m inclined to believe it’s definitely part of the problem. The full version of her request for advice—which had to be severely cut down due to length—makes that more clear, and also cites several specific examples. I tried to cut her letter down

I feel like this advice is pretty good for the problem of “my husband plays video games too much” and pretty awful for the writer’s actual problem, which is, “my husband doesn’t want to have sex with me.”

I think it is extremely unlikely that they didnt consider the potential for abuse.

Game developers play online games themselves, they’re not idiots. I’m sure they knew there would be instances of this happening.

Hey people gotta keep themselves entertained and have something to do.

Yeah, they just don’t think about the consequences enough. And players certainly never think much about the consequences when demanding quick fixes or new features.

Well, the real on the other hand is when you don’t give players a tool to abuse they’ll complain that you didn’t give them enough features.

For some reason devs never expect that if you give players a tool they’ll abuse it.

“SWALLOWED A PEN BECAUSE NO ONE PAID ATTENTION TO HIM”

“Individuality” lol.

I like how the conclusion he came to is that he needs an Apple device to fit in as opposed to concluding that people who judge you for using a device different from their personal preference are asshats that you’re probably better off not having in your life.

Be clever, push the idiot away from Gizmodo, then everybody wins.

So let me get this... You think the girl never got in touch with you again because of your choice of cellphone? I am almost assured it was your intellect.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?

Hipsters can be pretty hard to understand. They’re waaay more individualistic and expressive, which means they do exactly as their friends do. Anything from glasses to beards to jeans cut is carefully culled from market research they do independently but quite unconsciously from their pool of peers, and then emulated.

This is the man who asked Google Assistant “what is a good date spot near me?”

This and the Pixel review are very close to pushing me away from Gizmodo completely. The Pixel review was just a bad review, regardless of one’s feelings about the phone.

There couldn’t be a more perfect gif for this article.

Click-bait articles are getting really bad.
