Adaptations of books help support the people who made the books. Unless they’re one of the rare mega-name authors, adaptations are great advertising for new readers to read the originals.

I haven’t been on sets for twenty years now, but I can assuredly tell you that the talent snapping at an assistant isn’t going to halt production. Oh, and there is no HR to run to. A film production isn’t an office.
