Mate, are you a troll or just woefully misguided?
Personally I’d argue that Joker and maybe Infinity War are the only real ‘villain’ movies out of these. They’re the only ones that really make the actual villain into a protagonist and in which the story is about something which, vague “Thanos was right” stuff aside, are pretty unambiguously the kind of thing that…
Nah, I love the intro. Gets me puuuuumped
If they’re gonna do it, then I can only see it maybe work one way that I believe would work as a success.
Websites are obligated to report on it, because people are obligated to point out they don’t have the obligation to report it, and when people do that, the web page gets viewed and the business earns revenue. If you really object to this reporting, walk the walk and don’t comment.
People get mad at anything they see as remotely “woke” these days. Two other scifi shows (Resident Alien and Picard) were both in their crosshairs recently, the former for daring to have a “girl power” episode with jokes about vaginas (it was hilarious) and the latter for having characters from a future where racism…
Stay mad
That, sadly, is one of the more realistic elements of this movie, it appears. Terrible lip foliage remains one of the quirks of Armed Forces pilots in all disciplines (I have a friend whose son flies KC-135s and the kid has a truly awful nose caterpillar that you wouldn’t believe).
That Avengers Assemble moment is one of those things that people dismiss because it looks easy and obvious (90% of it is just groups of people showing up and assuming a combat pose) but then you see JJ Abrams try to do something similar in Rise of Skywalker and it falls pretty flat.
“Where is the defense of Lebron James whose hairline was the source of a joke like an hour before this? His hair loss could just as likely be medical.”
I heartily agree with all of this, aside from two points: 1) I hold Snyder blameless for Wonder Woman’s portrayal, because by the time Patti Jenkins made WW84 she could’ve done anything she wanted, and Snyder no longer had the reins over the DCEU; and 2) I like Adams’s portrayal of Lois, at least in Man of Steel. I…
Oh so close indeed for you too. You do not joke about someone’s medical condition. The “it was just a joke” is just as toxic as someone blameshifting in a fake apology.
Such a boring take, born of the same stiflingly incurious, cynical attitude that births every gateway conspiracy theory.
Truly baffled at the lack of critical thinking inherent in people’s assumption that this was faked, as if that could improve ratings mid-show.
I’d put it more as Snyder running on what he thinks is cool. His films are pretty good visually in terms of landscapes even though the character CG can get sketchy at times. The guy can put together a decent action sequence but he can’t seem to go from point A to B in a coherent fashion. His fans act like the Snyder…
Snyder has no emotional connection to anything happening in his movies. He creates setpieces that make him go, “Oooh fuck yeah, that’s badass bruh,” and sometimes that results in really cool-looking stuff, and sometimes it’s fucking miserable to look at, but it’s never rooted in anything like emotional connection to…
It’s a great scene...that was wisely cut from the theatrical version of the movie.
It’s the simple difference between a scene that’s earned and one that isn’t. Snyder’s whole approach was cart-before-the-horse and weirdly destructive, rushing to make sure no part of the DC universe was untouched by him, even if the end result made no sense. That’s why the Death of Superman takes place in the last 30…
