Not sure why you included The Losers in the dig against Sylvain White. It’s fucking glorious.

I would love to see an LOTR story that takes place some 10,000 years after the events of the book. It could take place in a shining metropolis full of fantastical horseless-carriages powered by ancient secretions from the deep places of the earth, and artifacts that pluck strings of light itself in order to instantly

I’d just like to point out that the Jonathan Groff left running black-ish isn’t the same Jonathan Groff from FrozenLookingGlee, but the other one from behind the scenes on my fave sitcom ever - Happy Endings - which was also on ABC once upon a time.

I’ll give From Hell credit, it’s the only Ripper story where the Canonical Five are treated as actual characters rather than just as victims waiting to be murdered.

It didn’t kowtow to Marvel making a movie with all its characters as a defining cinematic achievement, and correctly assessed that movie as just OK, not as good as some of the others. So, yeah, absolutely nothing was wrong with it.

I dunno, this sounds like a fluke.

Well I mean from a character perspective it makes a lot of sense to make her a little “off” when compared to everyone else. Especially when it seems like her fitting in and finding her place in the world appears to be a big part of her character journey. I mean, whether or not you personally agree with that choice is

“White audiences will never want to go see black artists anyways so minstrel shows in blackface are actually a way to show them what they’re missing. The caricature aspect? No big deal!

Nolan’s movies were still fun despite their immersion in reality. The last one wasn’t as good as the previous two, but Batman Begins and TDK are classics. They never got as sluggish or self-important as Snyder’s shitbombs.

It’s the movie version of fun. You like ABBA? Impossibly beautiful locations? Women behaving a little badly? An incredible cast enjoying themselves?  Here’s a movie for you.  It doesn’t need to be an award-winning technical feat.

It also lacks the emotional complexity of La La Land, the comedic timing of West Side Story, the visual lushness of Chicago, the choreography of Cabaret, and the coherence of any of them.

Yeah, your one-line snark sure showed her! Especially the part where you somehow don’t even try to come up with any sort of counterargument to Siede’s point that a movie that made $600 million took 10 years to get a sequel over movies that made less. And also that somehow the movie made $600 mill while “only

Terrible eh? Sisko was in charge of a space station, a wormhole, the Defiant, he was also the Emissary, and ended up ensuring that the Dominion War turned out favorably for the Federation, what more do you want? He fought a guerilla war against the Jem’Hadar with the Defiant, led Starfleet from the deck of the Defiant

DS9 was given the Defiant at the start of season 3 when Sisko was still a Commander. He was promoted to Captain at the end of the season. And to say he did “jack shit” with the Defiant and its replacement is so laughably ignorant that it’s not worth responding to properly.

I know, such a silly argument. Especially when Captain Sisko is better than both of them!

Oh good, Kinja commenters are humorless puds just like the Facebook ones.

I’m guessing you didn’t actually watch the video. Because if you did, you’d realise that:

How... exactly do we prove you wrong? Like, do you want me to make Trump say something about the world cup? Because fella, if I could make him say things, I would focus on making him act like less of a racist manchild, not more.

Oh good, French nationalists are humorless puds just like the American ones.

So BBC- I’m guessing “British Broadcasting Corporation”...
