Me remember TV before 2000s well — you forget me have been on children’s television since 1969. Me would posit that people who trash Disco as somehow unworthy of legacy set by Next Generation’s godawful first season (and me saying that as big fan of TNG) are ones who not remember what TV used to be like.

Me have pretty simple explanation: Star Trek fans hate Star Trek. Or, more accurately, anything new related to Star Trek. People who paid full price to sit through GenerationsInsurrection and N——— are now trying to convince you that Abrams Trek is worst thing ever to happen to franchise. (STiD was pretty terrible,

“Has Tig ever expressed a love of SciFi or Star Trek?”

I don’t understand why Discovery gets so much hate around here. I grew up on TNG, DS9 and Voyager (DS9 is now my favorite of the series) and I enjoyed the hell out of Discovery. I’d frankly be bored if they tried to have the same style and tone of the earlier series, TV has gotten too good in the interim years to go

Right, because previous Trek shows only hired serious thespians, like Iggy Pop, Mick Fleetwood, or Joe Piscopo. Me still confounded by people hating Disco for doing exactly what other Trek shows have done, but with better pacing and special effects and no silly throwaway episodes.

I appreciate that the Chinese/international market is allowing movies to not take place in same five locations anymore.

It’s not too hard to hand wave that away though.

There’s no definitive sense of how much time passes between the end of Rogue One and the beginning of New Hope. They could have been on the run for a few days before Vader catches them. He has no proof that her blockade runner was the one he saw flee Scarif. “Diplomatic

For a large number of Star Wars fans, nothing is ever good enough.

Funny. Every word of what you just said is wrong.

I’m calling it right now: Captain Britain

I would be very happy if they colour-blind cast his character, and didn’t try to shoehorn him into one of the handful remaining black superhero roles. I mean, does anyone really want a Prowler movie?

Okay, first, let’s start with the most basic: “He’s crusading against constitutional rights”. No. He’s not. The idea that the 2nd Amendment referred to some unfettered and fetishized right to buy, own, and carry as many guns as you were physically capable of doing is an interpretation that dates back to the ancient

He’ll portray I.P. Man
