Ok, you seem on the level (read: not a troll), so I’ll engage for a bit.
Men have been told their opinions are paramount for millennia. It hasn’t made them listen to women.
Okay, but please keep in mind that you’re the guy arguing in favor of men’s voices continuing to drown out women’s.
Yes. Enjoy your youth and coolness.

M’eh, the DS9 finale has some really terrible stuff (everything with the pah-wraiths, basically, which is empty fantasy nonsense out of a twelve-year-old’s D&D campaign), but also some stuff that’s pretty terrific (the fate of the Cardassians and of Odo).
I know there’s a significant portion of the Trek audience who feel the way Sirtis does, though I’ve always been on the pro-DS9 side of that argument myself. Insisting that Trek is “about space exploration” in some deeply meaningful thematic sense has always seemed silly to me, an insistence on enshrining form over…
“Sexism is all the big and little ways that society draws a box around women and says, ‘You stay in there.”
I too appreciated (most of) Man of Steel’s tone. I think it’s perfectly fine to do a more serious, less cartoonish Superman story, as long as you do it well.
That’s overthinking. How do you even envision removing Ledger from The Dark Knight? It’s like removing Ford from Star Wars or Bogart from Casablanca. Those characters are an inherent part of the movie. It’s impossible to judge the work without them. It’s obvious that if you remove arbitrarily greatest part of any…
Yeah, there’s no reason resurrected Superman would be hateful. It felt like Snyder liked the genuine stories with evil/crazy angry Superman and didn’t want to do the actual buildup those situations required.
Nah, at no point in his boasting does he discuss women’s attraction to him. Immediately before the “You can do anything” quote, he saw the pretty woman he was about to meet for the first time and talked about how it is likely he will start kissing her. “I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her.…
What a shitty, fucked up attitude about your fellow Americans. Even if a government is corrupt, that doesn’t mean the people don’t need help.
The point isn’t even Black Widow herself. The point is Marvel has taken around a decade to make a movie with anything other than a white male as the main protagonist. Black Widow is the most important female character on the Avengers movies and, as you say, she’s at best a supporting character. THAT’s the problem.
Thirteen.

Nah, fuck that. People meet at work. Don’t be an asshole and things will usually be fine.
