I too appreciated (most of) Man of Steel’s tone. I think it’s perfectly fine to do a more serious, less cartoonish Superman story, as long as you do it well.
Yeah, there’s no reason resurrected Superman would be hateful. It felt like Snyder liked the genuine stories with evil/crazy angry Superman and didn’t want to do the actual buildup those situations required.
Nah, at no point in his boasting does he discuss women’s attraction to him. Immediately before the “You can do anything” quote, he saw the pretty woman he was about to meet for the first time and talked about how it is likely he will start kissing her. “I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her.…
The point isn’t even Black Widow herself. The point is Marvel has taken around a decade to make a movie with anything other than a white male as the main protagonist. Black Widow is the most important female character on the Avengers movies and, as you say, she’s at best a supporting character. THAT’s the problem.
Thirteen.

Food guys listen to music too. And this was an awesome D+ reviewer. Panger rules.
Nah, fuck that. People meet at work. Don’t be an asshole and things will usually be fine.
> So what if there isn’t a person of color or a woman good enough to do what they want?
Gee, it’s almost like issues of racism/sexism and whether or not Toy Story needs another sequel are two totally different issues in terms of both scale and importance, and to compare them would make a person look quite stupid.
You really need to start disclaiming all of these opinions with your actual nationality, especially when you claim to know who does and does not speak for actual Americans.
Justice League was, to put it bluntly, pedestrian. Not nearly as stupid as BvS, and moderately entertaining at times, but... It’s the kind of movie where you can see the seams: plot points call attention to themselves, you’re left to fill in the gaps where things aren’t explained, some stuff clearly wasn’t thought…
Last of the Mohicans is, and probably will always be, the reigning champion of worst book to become a good movie.
The LotR movies better than the books? Not especially.
I find Kingsman completely impossible to enjoy due to it being a classist, far-right fantasy falsely labeled as nihlistic. It endorses the idea that democracy is a joke; that there are people who are just better than everyone else, who the rest of us should just shut up and let run the world. Even the church fight,…
Well that’s a shame. I’ll still go and see it.
