My favorite of hers in that movie (and possibly the entire series) is her suddenly running into Bond at that ski resort. He’s alone, desperate and hunted - then looks up and sees a virtual angel saying his name with the perfect mixture of surprise, pleasure and amusement. That’s the exact moment he fell for her, even

“I don’t like the way you look when you’re happy” is an excellent new addition to the list of red flags for Guys Women Shouldn’t Date.

Terminator: Salvation is the movie in which a genocidal AI created fast 2-wheeled killing machines that can not only be captured and rendered inert, but were also designed to be comfortably ridden by a human being.

You missed Rebecca Ferguson as his mom.

Hot take:

Lashana Lynch would have to be absolutely magnetic to earn a 007 franchise of her own. Only Rebecca Ferguson has been able to make everyone go “We wanna see more of her!” after debuting in a long-running spy movie series, so that’s the bar to meet.

I’m willing to bet that being a glad-handing yes-man is the reason why any number of mediocre white male Hollywood folks keep failing upwards.

Shame that they’re introducing an Evil Superman into a franchise that’s 4 entries in, none of which was even a Superman game.

Feels like it should be “contrastingly”.

W’kabi is launching a coup for the Wakandan throne?

What the fuck are you talking about? Where did you get chauvinism out of what I said? And what “rule” do YOU fucking mean??

I could get worked up over the fact that the one actually Asian character isn’t played by an Asian actor, because that’d be one Asian actor too many or some fucking thing. But I’m willing to give it the ol’ cautious optimism for now.

I mean, Saldana herself said it best - how Nina Simone looked was very much part of who she was and the life she led, hence a movie about her life that doesn’t even attempt to portray that is being - to put it very generously - inaccurate.

Every time I see the name of this Latin American myth I get this stuck in my head.

Hope the real Zola got well paid for this.
