The caption on that second photo is Pearl saying good morning, good health and contentment to everyone, so maybe don’t project your own ill temper on what looks like a perfectly friendly cat, Reid.

So I vaguely remember Warrior Nun Areala, the very ‘90s comicbook that this show is based on. I went to look it up on Wikipedia, and wow, that entry was clearly written by a fan.

Alright. How do I play The Last of Us on PC?

I suspect projection has a lot to do with it. They want to be him and have what he has - the wealth, the beautiful wife and daughter, the reputation as a self-made billionaire, the confidence to speak with his stupidly arrogant bravado.

Star Trek, really? At first I thought he was Lt. Bryce from DISCO (y’know, one of those bridge officers who barely get any lines), but turns out he was in like 30 seconds of Into Darkness.

Wow, that dialogue is, like, badness.

But it’s not “All Americans should have access to guns in order to prevent armed government forces from taking over” with them. It’s “I should have access to guns, because guns are cool, and if they’re used by armed government forces against people I don’t like, that’s cool.”

Come now, you know all of those can be dismissed by various combinations of “he’s just telling it like it is,” “it’s not racist if it keeps America safe” and “that’s just how alpha males behave.

I remember Equal Justice, the lawyer show about public defense attorneys, in which a running theme was about these talented lawyers balancing their zeal to defend the defenseless with how much more they could earn in private practice (or even as public prosecutors). It ran 2 seasons in 1990-91.

But wait... there’s one more organization he’s donated to, that wasn’t on the list! What could it beeeee...

Also, “good” or “bad” at sex becomes practically meaningless considering how wide-ranging people’s preferences can be. There’s an article on Lifehacker in which the (female) author says, in so many words, that no woman likes having their breasts squeezed. I’ve been with more than one woman who’ll call bullshit on that.

This role seems made for Charlize Theron. As in, when they were casting for the right actor, they realized there can be only one.

I’m looking for the title of a particular Golden Age sci-fi short story.

This is a deeply nerdy cut and I applaud you for it.

No, movies do not need to be morally didactic to be good. But movies can be morally reprehensible, in which case they deserve to be criticized accordingly.

This is a criticism of this stupid movie that really ought to he more well known. The so-called MiGs are very clearly an American fighter plane.

I think that among the many, many reasons why Green Lantern is a bad movie is that certain studio execs not only wanted it to be Top Gun, they wanted it to be Top Gun in exactly this way.

What a character arc should be: “This is you being a bad person” + “This is your karmic retribution for being a bad person” = “This is you becoming a better person.”

That video actually makes me more sympathetic towards Trank. I hadn’t heard the theory that Fox made Fant4stic as essentially a rights grab, but if it’s true, then any director they could’ve hired to make it would be screwed from the start.

No, we’re playing Make Fun of Dunning-Kruger Poster Boy. And it gets more fun the more you try to own the libs.
