Brother Day, the Emperor of the galaxy
Brother Day, the Emperor of the galaxy
So every other male MCU hero gets a trilogy, but Black Widow gets a one-off? :(
Kroll’s statement is a great rejoinder to those who cried “waaah cancel culture” about the Big Mouth controversy. First of all, no, the show wasn’t fucking canceled, and nobody’s still calling for it to be. That’s because second of all, creators who sincerely apologize when criticized - even creators who, like Kroll,…
It amazes me that a viewer could look at the absolute nothing Henwick was given to do on GoT and think that she’s to blame for that.
In corporate America (really, corporations in any country), the higher up you rise the harder it becomes to fire you. Golden handshake clauses are de rigueur, and even if they weren’t, people like Perlmutter can always point to the profit figures under his stewardship* as evidence for his wrongful termination lawsuit.
There are a couple of commenters who always come out of the woodwork bitching about “cancel culture” whenever a white man does or says something that causes offense online.
On the other hand, there’s also the phenomenon of Movie Everyone Watched But No One Really Liked. That’s the kind of movie that does well enough to spawn a sequel, which subsequently flops.
I would actually like another movie that gives us closure for Skyler and Walt Jr., but considering how (unjustifiably) disliked both characters are I suspect Gilligan might have a hard time getting the green light for that.
The snow globe had a blonde guy looking up at a girl in a blue dress on a pedestal. Clearly meant to represent him and Lydia.
It does not ruin the finale, but I’m hard pressed to say it’s essential either. It’s basically an extra feature-length episode of the show. But if what you want is an epilogue about the fallout and what Jesse gets up to, it ought to satisfy you.
I’m really bad about talking about something without inadvertently spoiling it, so scroll on by if you want to avoid SPOILERS FOR EL CAMINO:
No, I’m from one where I am not at all a devastatingly witty raconteur whom persons of my preferred gender find irresistibly attractive.
And clearly this means that if they had made a Black Widow movie earlier, it would’ve been a flop. You know this because you are a traveler of the multiverse.
Indeed, people who run movie studios have never made bad decisions about which movies to make. This is why every major studio release is a box office hit.
In other Brie Larson/MCU news, certain neckbeard misogynists are really really invested in the idea that Larson is intensely disliked by her fellow MCU castmembers, and have made numerous YouTube videos that “prove” it.
Realizing that gender and racial inequality exists in this world is exhausting to you? You clearly don’t lift to failure.
Yeah, I don’t think either Stahelski or Reeves have any say in the matter. The studio owns the franchise, and if it wanted to spin it off into a Saturday morning cartoon show, they’ll have no choice but to take their producer credit and grin.
Yeah, fuck that guy. He could’ve caused a whole lot of misdirected anger at AMC and their employees, and they’re entirely justified in banning him.
There’s something really ironic about people who want to make edgy, provocative comedy and expect mainstream success and undivided acclaim for it.
Are we all not clear what a backhanded compliment it is to say that a director’s best movie is his first one, after he’s made several others?
