@SeraphX2: That's not what I meant. I was suggesting that (as with a certain popular phone on AT&T) the hardware might be more a draw than the carrier - i.e. you would choose the phone based on its features, and then accept whatever network you end up on as a result.

@SeraphX2: What if I just want the Android smartphone best whose hardware and software are best suited to me? The carriers are secondary to that.

The chart seems to fall down if you have no provider restrictions - i.e. no preexisting contract...

They all look reasonable, except for the markings for turning right from the outside lane. They seem to put you into the same piece of road as the car inside you...
