This. I had a ‘98 with a lot of mods on it and it’s very easy to push the 3800 up past 300hp. The weak link is the transmission, but that can be dealt with for about $3K. The 3800 is a great motor, more than able to handle the power. There are stock bottom end 3800s running 9 second quarter miles.
