I see that the result of this inauspicious meeting is exactly the kind of garish, tacky vomitbomb I feared it would be. Needs some red varnished saya and a pair of katanas engraved with dragons to go with that tiger.

Ten Sleep, WY to Santa Rosa, CA - bit under 1200 miles. The land around Ten Sleep is gorgeous, and the town itself is tiny and has a couple good restaurants.

I guess I differentiate between ‘race’ and ‘performance.’

I started getting drowsy at the NV/CA border and then encountered the aftermath of a massive fatal head-on collision. That woke me back up.

Most performance road bicycles do not cost more than this. There are bicycles that to, but unless your definition of ‘performance’ is top one percent or higher, just... no.

It’s amazing how much room there isn’t in the back seat.

This is our monthly reminder that there are a lot of dumbasses in England, too.

Wyoming to California, stopping only for gas.

100% agree.

5 acres?  Just how big a garage do you plan on building?

We’re... BROTHERS?!?

Thanks for shooting his plausible deniability in the face, man.

Could it be in slideshow format?

Pedantically speaking, the question is “What car being sold today...” - not “What NEW car being sold today...”

I can do the same in my ‘94 Nissan D21. On early morning commutes I can get all the way to through my neighborhood to the first ‘big’ road without touching the gas; it’s oddly enjoyable.

Lovely.

My daily is Silky, a resto-mod ‘79 Delta 88. The combination of vintage interior and dashboard design, modern computer-controlled engine and transmission controls, upgraded chassis, suspension and brakes, and Dr. Gas boom-tube sidepipe exhaust makes for a really comfortable daily driver that RIPS.

I have a neighbor who drives a Citroen Traction-Avant.

That’s a better argument for raising the driving age than for lowering the age of adult prosecution.

But the law IS supposed to work like that; one of the major aims of our legal system is to deter undesirable behavior by imposing consequences for that behavior.
