Fair point. Laws named after people other than the authors or proponents are even more likely to be useless crap than are laws, like the ones that you listed, that are named after their authors or proponents.

I don’t know anything about how Coogan’s Law actually plays out but Megan’s Law, as drafted and enforced in California, is in many respects absolutely horrible.

It’s a good idea, and anyone who disagrees will be forced to drive a two-door 1972 Chrysler Newport with a 170 CID slant-6 and an automatic transmission everywhere, forever.

Better yet, the suit has my fill name embroidered on the lining beneath the left-hand inside pocket. And it’s bespoke! The tailor comes to my office with fabric samples, takes my measurements, and about a month later the suits (each with two pairs of trousers, natch) is delivered to my office.

Would it fit in, say, a 1966 Lincoln?

This motor makes WAY more horsepower (430 vs 215) and a 35 lb-ft more torque (475 vs 440) than the last-year version of the 2-wire Cummins 5.9. It also makes way more power (430 vs 275) and ‘only’ 50 lb-ft less torque (475 vs 525) than the famous 2003 7.3 Powerstroke diesel.

Yeah, the front plate comes in really handy in all those hit-and-run cases wherein the driver flees the scene in reverse and with a convenient source of illumination directed onto the front license plate. To say nothing of the thousands and thousands of murder cases in which the case can somehow only be cracked by a

It looks like an artist’s conception of a Pathfinder that survived a freak nuclear accident in a jaundice clinic for teenage boys.
