I did go on to say in a reply that “whiting characters” is not a thing I would do, but if I did it would be after there are plenty of default options.

I think with race you could mostly get by with face and hair. Leave the clothing and gear alone. Leave the voice alone too. There are people of all races living pretty well everywhere.

In the meantime couldn’t they have the artists and modelers create different versions of the existing characters so people don’t have to wait on Blizzard finalizing the new power set?

Yeah, I think I played the campaign 10 times? I find a lot of games ruin the fun of their own concept. TF2 instead asked the question “how many ways can we make giant robots fun?” There’s two levels in particular that I played over and over again. Anyone who’s played the game can probably guess the ones I mean.

I would also argue that the use of the word “savage” further reinforces the anti-capitalist message. Savage is a colonial word to describe a land or culture that can be exploited for profit. Seems fitting given the message and tone.

Isn’t this PvE? Does anyone really care about cheating? They really should add the ability to hybridize the javelins or swap characteristics. What we don’t need is the Fun Police* telling us we’re enjoying the game wrong.
