My starting planet was irradiated. I kept stumbling into radioactive clouds.

Yeah, my starting planet had “Sentient Plants”. When I got close these vines came up out of the ground, each with a glowing orb at the end. I got closer and could interact, so I did. The glowing orb was in fact a gravitino ball, and it killed the plant.

That’s fun too. You should check out the great escape article on PCGamer. He had a rough go of it.

Yeah I thought that you might feel that way. It’s got red grass, blue water and yellow trees. No storms, and a giant fuck off ringed planet in the sky.

Must be a luck thing. I also started a brand new game, but I’ve found things going much faster than when I started Atlas Rises. The second planet in my starting system has water, lots of flora and fauna, and a climate described as “pleasant breeze”.

Why do I have to explain this? If he’s paying less money than you, that means you are losing more money than he is. He doesn’t lose anything by waiting.

Well, no. He’s still getting the game he’s just paying less for it. So that’s actually your loss.

Couldn’t they think of a better way to show it off than a telecom commercial?

HOLY SHIT THAT DROP!

Well, one of the problems with modern game development is that, generally, there will be more hours of “testing” by players in one day than even a large studio would be capable of doing in their entire troubleshooting phase.

YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!! Welcome back Mike! Bring on the snacks!

I haven’t had any of those problems. Are you sure you’re playing it right?

There are things that appear to be rivers. They’re really just long, thin lakes. I recall someone found one of those that went down a hill and gave the illusion that it was flowing.

I actually had a lot of fun walking around a moon like that for similar reasons. And then I almost died falling into a crack.

They exist, if a little tough to find sometimes. In my prior save I had a base on a colder planet with red grass, purple leaved trees, giant floating hemispheres, dinosaurs, and giant pillars of gold and heridium.

You’re not limited to a single base anymore, so you don’t have to keep holding out for the perfect place.

Mine is similar at the moment. I’ll get around to designing something as soon as I find a place I like.

Man, some of these are fucking bananas.

Does standing on the ship get you high enough. I recall from playing before that standing on my ship didn’t always work.
