LPShea’s father’s thought on his son’s commenting on Deadspin:

That guy is a jackass without question. I can’t imagine what a “pirates” bar is, but running a business class bar I would imagine is 99.9% about location. It’s a tough go everywhere else.

Serves him right. Maybe lay off the whip a bit when you have the race won? Call me #teamcryogenic on this one.

Another thing is that often times pouring money into the place is a waste. For the most part, bars don’t fail because they lack bells and whistles, they fail because they don’t connect with their market. That failure seldom is caused by the physical structure.

Now that is the real problem. Many people get into the business so that they can be a big shot, life of the party. Not saying it isn’t fun, but at it’s core it’s a business, a tricky one at that with tons of hidden costs.

You couldn’t be more wrong. My son was immaculately conceived as well. My wife got pregnant even though we hadn’t had sex at all in the month she conceived. So miracles do happen if you put your faith in Jesus.

My brother is too. Advice usually means people looking for free shit.

I hate that show. HATE. “Is your bar struggling? Here’s some obvious advice, and oh yeah, $100,000 in upgrades. Problem solved!”

Is it possible to elect a guy but not let him give a speech? Otherwise if I were a voter there’s more than enough qualified other guys to fill out a 10 person ballot.

True. But not if the Democrats take their vote for granted and ignore them. (Hi Hillary!) It’s not as much about the percentage last time, it was about turnout, which under-performed where it mattered.

I get asked for advice a surprisingly high amount considering the fact I’m a flakey idiot most of the time. (I’m a bar owner.) I don’t mind at all. I received tons of priceless advice back in the day. The problem, and I think it applies everywhere, is separating the earnest advice seekers who are trying to learn the

Creating voting blocs that influence elections is different than actually running things, as the Tea Party can attest.

It’s a big mistake to assume that A) The Latino community is a monolithic voting bloc, or B) They are a solid Democratic Party vote. Hell Trump got 22% of their vote last year. That’s why I take predictions that Texas is turning blue with a grain of salt. (Which is not to say it can’t happen, there are huge

Forget all the political ideology for a second and focus on this, this is a statement someone makes only if they have national ambitions. In what scenario can Marco envision being the nominee in 2020 or 2024? Ignoring the fact that those of us on the left don’t like him, the right distrusts and hates him even more. He

Local politics is no place for ideology anyways. The simple truth is that local politics is about plowing snow and trash removal.

Try getting 6 of your friends to agree on a restaurant for a Friday night. It’s impossible. Yet he thinks you and your friends can take over a local party?

“Two dribbles, off the shot clock, nothing but net.”

When I was living in Reno back in the mid-nineties, they offered rooms at the fleabag motels I stayed at with hourly rates.

Jacksonville is gonna be hopping come playoff weekend! I hear city officials are even permitting bars and restaurants to stay open late so that locals can celebrate the win. Yup, you heard me correctly, they’re keeping the Applebee’s open until 8pm! Gonna be craaaaaazy.

He’d swing and miss at it.
