Great comment! I agree with every word. The 30-minute format fits like a glove - don't you mean chainsaw?
Agreed - it was a damn masterpiece. It was inch perfect, from the music cues to the reaction shots to the endless buckets of blood. I was in heaven (or hell). Best single episode of television I've seen since Rick and Morty's "Total Rickall."
A "B+"? I'm sorry, but if this episode isn't an "A," then what the hell is? (Okay, now I'm going to read the actual review.)
I don't think it's the worst show that has ever existed (that would be Full House), but I do think there has been an incredibly (and unforgivably, given how much fun this show was at first) steep decline in quality in recent years. After a superb second season, the show began its march to mediocrity in season three.…
Now that I think of it, there was a time on this site that BBT was being handed from reviewer to reviewer, like a foster child no one wanted. That's right, America's most popular show is a foster child no one wants.
Seriously? AV Club is reviewing this again? We're more than a quarter of the way through the season at this point. I used to love BBT, but now it beyond blows. It's unwatchable. The only thing that is interesting is the AV Club's bizarre, love-hate relationship with the show. The previous reviewer kept threatening to…
Stay away from the awful "Vacation" remake, in which Applegate's character is the mother to two of the most annoying teenagers alive.
Really good episode - one of the best thus far. (Even more so considering that the last ep was the season's only real dud.) That Zadak kid always gets hilarious lines. You know this show is good because it develops its supporting characters, and pays attention to the small moments. The denouement with Applegate was…
Good one! Suck it, Daniel Day Lewis, Bruce Campbell rules!
You are in for a treat! I have never been a fan of Army of Darkness - didn't like it when I was 13 and it first came out, and don't like it now. But Evil Dead II is every kind of awesome, and the first one is a great example of what you can do on a miniscule budget if you just have energy, ambition, and buckets of…
It's a shame Jane Levy doesn't have more of a career right now. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, she is also a good actor.
That was mine too. Would have been even better if the whole shelf of dolls came alive and started attacking him, but I guess that would have stretched the budget.
Go away forever, you awful, awful "person"
Just be happy it's not called Law & Order: AvED
At this point, "rumors" is being charitable…
That is so true. The eyes in that photo are a giveaway.
Thanks for calling it like it is. I am glad that someone did. How long until the ""GOES TO REHAB" ride? Or, more likely, the "TAKES TWO WEEKS OFF FOR 'EXHAUSTION' RIDE."
Or: "Who is (allegedly) drunk off his ass?"
Lowe is witty but one-note. Savage gives a textured and surprisingly terrific performance. He's the real standout of this show so far.
