I think it depends on the TV, because when set to zero, things are blurry, and it's not until I set my TV above 50 that artifacts start showing up.

Well I'm pretty positive that 50 is "off" on my tv, and anything below that blurs, and anything above that runs a sharpen algorithm.

I've recently realized that turning the sharpness way down (to 25 as opposed to the default 50) makes 720p console games look much better on my 1080p 42 inch. Shaves those jaggies right off. I cringed a little bit at the idea when I had it, but I'm glad I tried it. It works miracles, I promise.
